I thought it would be cool to write another story where Jackson celebrates Father's Day with Greg! Hope you all enjoy...and pretty please review!
Greg Sanders had collapsed onto his bed the night before. He worked a double and just wanted to stay home with his family for the whole day. He snoozed as Morgan and Jackson made breakfast, happily thinking of what the day was.
Morgan carried the tray with breakfast as Jackson opened the door and peered inside. He smiled when he saw his father snoozing away. Jackson turned to Morgan and grinned before they walked up to the bed.
Just before they reached the bed, Jackson happily pounced on Greg's stomach. "Happy Father's Day!"
Greg groaned and smiled when he saw Jackson smiling widely on top of him and Morgan smiling. "Happy Father's Day!" Morgan said with a laugh.
"Oh," Greg said as he sat up. "It is Father's Day, isn't it?"
Jackson giggled. "Yeah! You gotta wake up daddy! It your special day!"
Greg smiled warmly at his beautiful son, so happy he had Jackson. "It is, huh?"
"Yeah! Cause it Father's Day! An' you the bestest daddy!"
Greg smiled and hugged his son. "Well, you make every day special for me, Jacks."
"Thank you, daddy! An' we made you breakfast!"
Morgan smiled as Greg raised his eyebrows. "We made you blueberry pancakes, toast, coffee, and Jackson made the orange juice."
"Oh, wow," Greg said with a warm smile as Morgan set the tray in front of him. "Looks wonderful guys. Thank you!"
Jackson rolled off Greg and sat beside him. "Mama let me butter your toast, too!"
"She did? Well, she's got a great helper!" Jackson happily giggled and hugged his father.
"And we got you presents, too!"
"You did?" Greg asked as Morgan handed Jackson two cards and a drawing.
"Yeah! Open this one first!" Jackson said as he handed Greg an envelope.
Greg smiled when he opened the envelope and saw the sweet card and gift card Morgan got him. "Aw, thank you. I love you."
"I love you, too," Morgan said as she kissed him. "And we can have dinner at that restaurant sometime."
"An' lookit!" Jackson said as he handed Greg his drawing and card. "Mama help me with some of the big words, but I drew the pictures!"
"Yeah," Greg said with a warm smile. "This is wonderful, Jacks."
Scruffy climbed on the bed and Morgan petted the sweet dog. Jackson happily patted his dog's head. "Scruffy help, too!"
"She did?" Greg asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Uh-huh, see?" Jackson pointed to a small paw print on his drawing. "That's her paw print, cause she wanted to wish you Happy Father's Day, too!"
Greg smiled warmly as he looked at the figures and colors on Jackson's drawing. Having his family with him made it a truly happy day. "Thank you all."
"You're welcome," Morgan said as Jackson wrapped his arms around his father for a big hug. "You welcome!"
The family enjoyed breakfast and spent the day just enjoying being together. After they called Conrad and Morgan's stepfather, and Greg's dad to wish them a happy Father's Day, Jackson and Greg enjoyed a bug hunt while Morgan cooked dinner. Greg loved just spending the day with his beautiful son.
That evening, as Greg was tucking Jackson in bed, Jackson smiled up at his father. "Did you have a happy Father's Day, daddy?"
"I sure did," Greg answered honestly. "And you know what the best part was?"
"What?"
"I got to spend it with you."
Jackson smiled at his father. "I love that, too! An' I glad you had a happy day!"
"Thanks for making it a great day, Jacks." Greg kissed his son's cheek and patted Scruffy's head as the dog curled up at Jackson's feet. "I love you, Jacks."
"I love you, daddy! Happy Father's Day!"
Greg smiled as his son drifted off to sleep. To him, it was a wonderful day.
