-1A/N: A short poem I whipped together in ten minutes. I could write more and more and more, but I'll stop for now and possibly add more later. Yes, this probably isn't the best work I've done, but the first poem I have attempted. So go easy on me. XD
Waiting
I'm waiting for someone
Someone I know will never
come
Have you seen him?
I'm looking for the one that is
meant only for me
I will go on forever hoping, wishing for that
day
A day which will never come
He abandoned me
Left
me out in the cold
Most people ask, 'how do you feel about him
now?'
I cannot give a true answer
The only truth lies in my
broken forgotten heart
So I go on, smiling and laughing
Though inside my heart has stopped beating
And has become
cold and still...
I smile through the pain, even though inside, I
know.
I'll put on my bravest face and look toward the future
Filled with unfulfilled wishes,
Or hopes and dreams that lie
forever shattered, cast away to the never ceasing wind
I have him
my heart and where he goes, I go.
We can never truly part, for we
are one in the same.
We breathe the same air, live under the
same sun
And that gives me hope, to live on another day
Searching for the one I love most above all others.
Have you
seen him?
He has dark blue hair that glistens in the sun
As
if the ravens themselves plucked their feathers out
And crowned
his head in their earthly essence.
His eyes are as deep and dark
as the future that lies ahead.
Uncertain, mysterious and full of
ambition.
There were times I wanted to give up and cry
But
that isn't me, isn't what I'm made of.
So I smile as tears
run down my face,
Angry, bitter, uncontrollable tears of this
crazy love.
I steel myself and work away at making myself a
stronger person.
I will forge ahead, and I shall prevail.
Wait for me, my love.
