Harry and Astoria were attending one of the various charity dinners hosted by St Mungos. Although Harry despised him fame, his fianceƩ had persuaded him to use it to his advantage, and one of those was to bring attention to numerous good causes he supported.

"Are you okay?" Astoria asked concerned as they headed back to their table.

"I'm fine, love. I just feel like the whole world has gone completely mad," Harry replied.

"How so?"

"Have you ever known any of your sisters friends be so nice to me?" he asked.

Astoria frowned trying to think but came up with nothing.

"I didn't think so."

"Harry, what has this got to do with my sisters friends?" she asked wondering what an earth one of them could have done to get Harry in this state.

"Malfoy came and congratulated me on our engagement. He seemed genuine when he wished us well. He has never, ever done anything like that before ever. And he wasn't the only one. Even Parkinson said it!" Harry told her.

"And that's a problem because?" she prompted.

"It's not normal, Astoria! I can understand them being happy for you, but not me. They have never been nice to me, and it scares me," he admitted.

"Maybe they want to turn over a new leaf. They know that they are going to be seeing a lot more of you now you're part of the family, and perhaps they want to start off on good terms. You were nice back to them weren't you?"

"Yes, Astoria I was. I thanked them and told them I would pass their congratulations onto you," Harry told her.

"That's a good start. So long as you can act civil towards each other then there should be no trouble at all," Astoria commented.

"I still think the worlds gone mad though," he said shaking his head.

"I don't blame you. Who would have thought that Draco Malfoy would be genuinely happy for Harry Potter?"

"Not me."

After a few moments Astoria smiled to herself. It had been a long process trying to keep the insults and arguments to a minimum between Daphne's friends and Harry, but she was glad that their engagement had turned things around. Hopefully in time they could all be friends without the past hanging over them.
