Ariana, goddess of colors and emotions
Once, when Aphrodite was taking a walk down the streets in Greece, a little baby goddess fell in her arms. She was thrilled and named her Ariana meaning holy because she felt as if Ariana was holy and had to be a gift from the Fates. Ariana was very strange from the beginning.
At a young age, Ariana revealed her powers to Aphrodite. She made Aphrodite's favorite dress turn from white to an ugly shade of red when Aphrodite asked if she should go out instead of spending time with Ariana. The two were shocked but never said anything.
A few years later, Ariana had another incident with her powers. Artemis had told her she would take her hunting and, over thrilled, Ariana turned the plain, dull room into a bright, colorful room. Once again, it was passed on as a coincidence.
More years went by, and Ariana didn't have any incidents. She was nearly fully grown when the next one occurred. Ariana decided to go out and see the world outside of the Palace of Olympus. She wandered around for awhile until she was stopped.
A man was grieving the loss of his wife. She kneeled before him and mourned with him. Miles away, the happy green turned to a sharp forest green. The bright yellows turned black, and every other happy color turned dark, as Ariana mourned.
Aphrodite witnessed this strange event, and went to her older sister, Athena. She told her everything, from when Ariana was young to now, and asked what was going on. Not even Athena could understand.
Meanwhile, Ariana was done mourning and tried to make the man feel better. She looked around and wished the darkness away. Surprisingly, it turned back and she started dancing in the bright light. Entertained by her strange happiness, the man watched and clapped. Many others stopped and clapped along with him and the all color turned bright and happy. The man stopped grieving and even smiled!
The gods watched from above. Clearly, Ariana was special. As she danced, even the gods could feel the happiness that radiated from her. All things grey, turned white. All light turned bright. No dark color was left in the world!
When this wonderful thing ended, the colors turned dull. They were still fairly bright but not like before. The gods told Ariana the from now on she was: Ariana, goddess of colors and emotions.
It was there where all happiness, gloominess, and anger were born from her own personality that had made the gods discover her. Her emblem then became a rainbow to represent all things light and dark.
