In our world, there are many colours that we fascinate over. Cold, warm, bright; these are but a few examples of the variety of colours we see in our lives. Tints and shades fill our lives and bring emotion and meanings with it.

The cool tint of blue is chilling when light, but warm when bright. It symbolises the sea and the sky, both heavenly levels of our world. It represents protection, like a barrier to danger. The element water is seen as this colour; fluid, gentle and supple.

Bright yellows can be seen as soft rays of light that enable us to see. Representing illumination, it brings sight to our eyes, leading the path; a guide post in our life, the sun following our every step like a doting father.

Stable purples were used by nobles, for the difficulty to make this rare colour. Not a very influential colour, it can be seen as hard and persistent. Peace is what is represents, joy is what it symbolises.

Gentle whites are seen as pure shades, truly a life that everyone must live. Graceful beings that are shown in this colour are a rare sight. Elegance is what we see in this naive colour; white, with no blemishes.

Green is seen as life itself, bright and lively. Plants and leaves that bear this colour are the contrast to the deep hues of blossoms and flowers. This is also a healing shade, embodying us with existence. Seen as this Earth's true colour, it is everywhere. Fields of grass, forests full of treetops; this is truly nature's true tint of individuality.

Dark blacks are striking, but allow us to rest easy. Nightmares are associated with this shade, but without it we wouldn't be able to sleep. It is the natural colour to leisure as the night sky sends us to peaceful slumber.

Multiple hues to choose from, and yet I'm attracted to the bold colour of red. Not because it represents anger or blood, rather that I find it a passionate shade. It can be bended to a light tint of pink, showing love as its main reason of presence. Red represents fire, warmth filling us. It also is associated with power ad leadership; a very emotionally intense colour.

But that isn't the main reason. The colour red always reminds me of his back. Never had I realised that it grew so large, always in front, protecting me. Well, no more. I don't want to lag behind him any further. Standing, side by side to him, is my goal.

Red reminds me of Edward's billowing cloak, enclosing him in a haze of intense boldness.
