AUTHOR'S NOTE: THIS IS MY FIRST ONE SHOT SO SORRY IF IT ISN'T THAT GREAT

Ever since Percy was in 4th grade, it had been the same for him. One steady girlfriend each year maybe 2 depending on the girls. He was the one to end the relationships. Always. This gave Percy the look of a player. All the girls wanted to be the next one Percy dated. This went on all the way to his Sophmore year in High School. Until Thalia Grace changed it all.

They were half way through the school year and Percy was onto girlfriend number 2 of the year. He knew that she had to last to keep up his reputation. There was a new girl in school that day. He hadn't had a chance to meet her yet. It was the end of 3rd period and he had heard some things in the hall that she was hot. He kept telling himself she would have to wait until next year. He went into his 4th period class and saw a new face in the back of the room. 'Wow.' He thought. 'She is hot…' Just as Percy was going to talk to her, the bell rang and class started. Percy could barely pay attention along with the other guys in the class. They were all too busy staring at the new girl. The class had finally ended and Percy tried to talk to the girl, but was pulled aside by Annabeth. His current girlfriend. She was a brainy know it all and Percy always wonders why he left his old girlfriend for her… It was lunch time and he knew that he would have absolutely no chance of talking to the girl then. He just had to hope she was in his afternoon classes.

After lunch and after 6th and 7th periods, Percy was running out of hope. He didn't think that he would see the girl until tomorrow. Until 8th period came and she sat right next to him. Before class started, they were talking.

"It's only my first day here, and already I've heard too much about you. Percy, right?" She said.

"Yeah I'm Percy. What've you heard?" he asked.

"Oh, just that you're a player." She replied.

"Really?" He asked sarcastically.

"Yup. I'm Thalia Grace by the way." She said.

"Well Thalia, welcome to our school. You will find, that I am not only a player, but also very hard to get." Percy said tauntingly.

"Is that so?" She said playing along.

"I guess you'll have to find out yourself." Just as Percy said that the bell rang and they fell silent. After sitting through a long lesson, Percy and Thalia left the class together talking. When Annabeth saw them together, she was outraged. Percy and Thalia both looked a little embarrassed said goodbye and parted. That night, Annabeth broke up with Percy and for some reason, he didn't mind a bit.

The next day before 4th period, Percy and Thalia were talking again.

"Hard to get are you?" Thalia asked.

"Go ahead. Try and get me." Percy dared.

"Oh I will. You won't expect it. I will make sure of it." Thalia said after the bell had rung.

Over the next few weeks, they continued have these conversations and they both realized they were slowly falling in love with each other. One day out of the blue, Thalia asked, "Percy do you want to go out with me?"

"I've been waiting for you to ask that."
