A/N: just because I fell in love with the dark tone of Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated.

Takes place in "The Night the Clown Cried"

I don't own anything.

Daphne was gone. She wasn't coming. Why wasn't she coming? His traps were useless without her. He buried his face into his hands, ignoring the smoking debris of what used to be a fireworks shop. His trap had failed and the bad guy got away. Velma approached him, gently touching his shoulder.

"I was so sure she was going to come..."

He frowned then, he had broken off their engagement. What did he expect? He laughed inwardly. Daphne and her boyfriend. That word burned in his throat. She had moved on without him. God, he was so stupid. He remembered the look on her face as he left, her eyes full of hurt, face contorted with anguish. He had noticed the tears in her gaze and the way her voice had cracked, begging him to stop and to not leave. But he was so angry, his life had been a lie and he needed to find his real parents. Why couldn't she see that? When she told him that she wasn't coming back, he brushed it aside as she had always been by his side. He had taken her for granted. It wasn't supposed to hurt this much. And combined with the failure of the trap made it ten times worst. Daphne wasn't here and the clown had gotten away. His goddamn trap had failed. What was he do to now?

Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby looked at him sadly.

"You still have us, Fred-"

"Don't you guys get it? Mystery Incorporated won't be whole again since Daphne's not coming back."

Fred stared off in space, tears glistening in his eyes. Crystal Cove will be destroyed.

"Reddie! Wake up!" Scooby-doo marched up and nudged him, "We'll get Raphne back."

"Yeah Fredd-io. Besides, there are bigger things to worry about."

"Shaggy's right Fred. First we need to stop Crybaby Clown. We'll do it without her."

"Alright gang." Fred sighed as he got up, "Let's go home."

Mystery Incorporated walked away from the destruction, a dark foreboding cloud surrounding them. They could pretend all they wanted, but Mystery Incorporated would never be the same.

Somewhere far away, Professor Pericles watched their retreating backs and grinned. With Mystery Incorporated out of the way, the Cursed Treasure was his.

So you guys should watch Scooby Mystery Incorporated. The plot isn't like the typical Scooby-doo cartoons. The characters are redesigned and the story line is humorous, but at the same time serious. It's a bit darker, but seriously, watch it!
