It's as simple as that really.
That's what Seele never understood. What none of the Lilim understood. What I didn't understand until I looked upon him that first time.
Ikari Shinji is everything to me.
As Adam I traveled through the endless reaches of space thinking only of the Angelic children I would soon conceive. I was contained within myself, needing no one, only wishing to fulfill my purpose.
Pushed aside by Lilith, enslaved in human form by her children, I wished only to regain my form and try again.
But then I met Shinji. Poor, lonely, broken Shinji. And I wanted nothing more than to see him smile always. I wanted him to be happy.
I want him to be happy.
And so I reform myself from the Ocean of LCL, taking the form of Nagisa Kaworu once more, so that I might join him here at the beginning of all things.
