A/N: This is written in honor of the pilots that are bringing home the F-14 Tomcat and retiring them and I pay homage to the USS Theodore Rosevelt. (It does not belong to me either. I just wanted to honor it.)
Harm was watching the Tomcats he dearly loved being flown one last time off of the USS Theodore Rosevelt. It was a different experience for him than the new young bucks that were coming up in Naval Aviation. As he was reflecting about the times he flew over Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan, Mac walked up to him and put her arms around his waist.
Mac knew that her hunky husband was thinking about his 'toy' and knew that it was affecting him in more ways than one.
Harm put his hands on Macs, and took a deep sigh. He loved Mac's arms around him but he was still going to miss being in a F-14 Tomcat.
"How are you doing?" Mac asked with concern in her voice.
"I am doing ok" Harm with nostolgia in his voice. "Did you know that the Skipper asked me to fly tomorrow when they fly the Tomcats into the Naval Station in Oceana?"
"No, I didn't," Mac said with a deep sigh, "are you going to?"
"I want to, but I want to make sure that you are ok with it." Harm said with trepidation in his voice. He was so scared that she was going to say no, but he was pleasantly surprised by her answer.
"You can go, but remember Captian you have a wife, three boys, a daughter, son-in-law, and above all else a granddaughter to come home to when you get done."
Harm grinned his flyboy grin, turned around gave her a knee buckling kiss and said, "Yes, Ma'am." Harm was glad that she had said yes, because he really wanted to say good bye to his 'friend' that had helped him out on some many occasion.
Ten days later...
Mac was waiting at Heathrow Airport for Harm. She saw him come to her and smiled.
Ten days ago he was in Virginia saying goodbye his beloved Tomcats and now he was home to celebrate his birthday and the first birthday of his granddaughter Sarah. As Harm walked up to Mac, he gave her a big hug.
Mac could not help wonder if he was done flying or not but knew that he probably never wouldl be as long as he had 'Sarah' his bi-plane. Mac was just happy to have him home and told him so. "It is nice to have you home" Mac said lovingly.
Harm gave her another mind blowing kiss and said, "It is nice to be home and to greeted by the most beautiful woman there is."
Mac blushed and said, "Let's go home, so I can cuddle with the most handsome man alive. Let's grab your bag and go home."
"Aye, Aye Ma'am" Harm said with anticipation in his voice. He was looking forward to having Mac in his arms while he told his granddaughter about his great advenutres with his grey 'plane' it would be icing on the cake.
