Prologue
Fire…
Fire is the only thing that can be seen in this place. This is the reason why most of the people evacuated there. The people inside were screaming in terror. Most of the people inside ran out of the building until they were able to reach a safer place. But no, those who were unfortunate stayed. To either protect the books and documents of the building, or because they weren't fast enough to move. The exit was blocked and closed because of the falling debris. The people who were stuck inside the building were either getting third degree burns or didn't feel anything at all because they were dead. Papers can be seen everywhere.
Scattered...
Getting burned by the fire...
"AHH!" A boy screamed, his shaking hands trying to touch his face. His eyes getting wider since the fire was getting near him, his body shaking, telling him to run and find his family. But before he can do anything, he saw something. A silhouette of a woman, standing about a few meters away him. She was surrounded by fire. Not like his situation, but much worse.
The fire was getting out of hand...
It was already nearing him. Just waiting to be consumed and follow the people who died inside the inferno. He tried to step backwards but his back was already leaning against the wall. His eyes were turning watery. No, he didn't want to die now. What would his family say when they found out that their youngest son died inside the building?
He closed his eyes and then, he screamed.
"Ahh!" Indigo colored eyes opened. His body sitting upright on the bed he was sleeping just now. He was panting hard. He was terrified because of the nightmare. He noticed that his bed sheet was tangled because of moving too much. He used his left arm to clean the sweat from his forehead. He was looking at the digital alarm clock that was on his bedside table. It read 03:12 am. It was way too early.
"Damn it, why did it have to come back now?" He silently questioned himself. He lay down on his bed and closed his eyes, forcing himself to go back to sleep. But he somehow couldn't, in fear on going back to that dreaded nightmare. It happened years ago and it didn't come back to haunt him, so why now?
He was still pondering about it until he noticed that his eyes were getting droopy. Finally, sleep came and took over. He sighs in relief and let go of the breath he was holding and he became silent for a while until a snore was heard inside his bedroom.
He turned to his right and murmured to himself while still asleep "At least a new day awaits me, nya…"
