All I could hear was the crunch of dead leaves under my feet as I ran as fast as I could from him, from the village.
"Hey!! Wait!! I don't want to hurt you!! Please!!" He said.
He tried to keep up with me but I was too fast. His purple face paint began to smear as sweat dripped from his face.
"Please!! Stop!! I want to help!!" Cried the girl.
I was running because my family hated me, hated what possessed me, the demon of the fire. The girl and boy were the only people who cared but all I wanted to do was to get out of there.
"Nobody likes me!! Everyone wants me dead why should I go back?!" I yelled in frustration.
"Because we care Kikio!! We don't want you dead!!" cried the girl, Temari.
I stopped and she engulfed me in the biggest hug ever.
"We love you more than anything." Kankuro said.

The smack echoed through the room. I lifted my hand to my face and felt tears running down my red cheek.
