Hurt
Ernie Macmillan ran through the corridors, looking for Hannah Abbott. She was took out of herbology earlier that day and told the news that would change her life;
Her mother was dead.
But after herbology, Hannah disappeared.
And Ernie was afraid.
He frantically asked Susan Bones and Justin Finch-Fletchley where she was, but they didn't know. He even resorted to asking Draco Malfoy, who just gave him a death glare before stalking off with his cronies, the doofus duo, Crabbe and Goyle.
He ran into the library, panting to see if she was there, but Madame Pince shooed him out.
Just then, the bell rang for Transfiguration, but he didn't hear it. His mind was on a certain blonde haired girl.
He was very afraid now.
What had happened to Hannah?
What if; on the spur of the moment, she did something stupid or she was attacked?
He could never live without her.
Because he loved her.
Ever since third year, his small crush on her became deeper. He more or less had a crush on her the first day they met, but since she was popular with the boys in Hufflepuff, he did not act upon his feelings as he felt there were much better people than he was and would look after her better.
Half an hour later, he had searched all the grounds with no sign of her.
Except the forbidden forest.
He gulped, knowing he could get into serious trouble, but strode in anyways.
Just for Hannah.
He gingerly searched round for a bit until he heard a faint sobbing sound.
He rushed to the source of the sound, tripping over some branches on the way.
And there she was.
Crying her heart out.
Ernie rushed over to her and scooped her up into an embrace. Hannah clung to his shirt tightly, getting it wet in the process.
But Ernie didn't mind.
Anything for Hannah.
She cried and she cried, and he held her.
Until she sniffled and stopped and said in a small voice:
"Why did you come and find me?"
"Because …" Ernie started, but began to feel nervous.
"Because what…?" asked Hannah, urging him to continue.
"Alright then Because ILoveYou!" he exclaimed in a hurry.
"In English please," said Hannah.
"Ok. Because I love you Hannah Abbott. Feel free to slap me, or never speak to me again. You are the most beautiful girl in the world and I don't deserve you," he said, a tear rolling down his face.
Hannah looked at him, mouth agape and he turned away.
Suddenly, a pair of hands found his face.
And a pair of bright blue eyes were staring into his.
And a pair of soft pink lips were upon his.
Hannah Abbott, the love of Ernie Macmillan's life had kissed him.
And for a few moments, the few time-stopping moments, the hurt stopped.
