A/N: Hello Hogan's Heroes fandom. This is my second HH fanfic I've published after ghostreading for awhile. I forgot to mention in my first one (Equine Reflection) that I'm new here. I hope you guys like it!

Newkirk and LeBeau, sunning outside the barracks, weren't all that surprised to hear a muffled "Hogaaaan!" from the kommandantur, followed by said POW striding out of the building, though what for they didn't know.

"Whadda you suppose the Colonel's up to now?" Newkirk mused.

The boyish look of mischief on his face was enough to light an escape tunnel. He spotted his two men, and headed towards them, his grin only widening, perhaps a tad frighteningly.

"What do you expect?" asked LeBeau. "It looks like the Germans are in trouble again."

"Got that right. It just never ends, does it?"

Hogan was proudly exiting Klink's quarters when he saw LeBeau and Newkirk leaning against the barracks wall. Good. He walked towards them, secretly anticipating telling his men what Klink had just agreed to. It was such great fun, but even more fun with witnesses. Or at least a firsthand retelling. He could see them exchanging words, but couldn't hear them yet. And just before he entered earshot, LeBeau screwed up his face, in the way he did, and delivered another few words.

The look of shock on Newkirk's face was an amazing sight, though it lasted only a moment. And then, he started laughing.

And laughing.

Hogan's eyebrows drew together. What had LeBeau said? He finally approached them. "What's going on?" Newkirk took a breath, looked at him, and for answer, began to laugh again. Hogan turned his question to LeBeau. "What did you say?"

LeBeau pressed his lips together, perhaps a little too firmly, and shrugged. Hogan looked between the two of them, serious confusion on his face, all thoughts of his conquest forgotten. He didn't like not knowing what was going on. He looked to LeBeau again for some explanation.

"Do you think it will stop?" asked LeBeau.

Newkirk laughed harder. Hogan could just barely comprehend the words he got out between the laughs and gasps. "It just never ends, does it, Louie?"

LeBeau shook his head in mock disapproval, though Hogan wasn't sure it was mock. Finally, Newkirk was falling over, his knees unable to support him any longer. The laughing turned quickly from loud and long to hiccup-y to watery. Newkirk attempted several times to compose himself and acknowledge his CO's presence. And then he would break down laughing again.

Hogan just felt more and more disturbed. He had a creeping suspicion this was about him.

They eventually were forced to drag him into the barracks to avoid undue attention from the guards. At this point it looked more like he was sobbing than laughing.

It was one of the strangest situations Hogan had been in. Newkirk only slowed down when he nearly passed out from lack of oxygen. Kinch theorized that the dizziness must have gotten his mind away from whatever was so funny. And then he just fell asleep on Carter's bunk, an errant giggle coming from him every once in a while before being replaced by snores. LeBeau had disappeared, and Kinch and Hogan were left to stare at their Englishman, wondering what on earth could have been said.

Hogan never did find out.
