I'm just a little bit caught in the middle

Life is a maze and love is a riddle

I don't know where to go I can't do it alone I've tried

And I don't know why

Bella exhaled heavily. Why did Jacob have to be so childish? Just because she was…well, dating Edward didn't mean that he had to utterly disappear from her life…did it? She wasn't picking sides, vampires verses werewolves, that's for sure. But the note just mixed about her emotions, the obvious hate practically oozing off the paper like…well, enough said.

Slow it down

Make it stop

Or else my heart is going to pop

'Cause it's too much

Yeah, it's a lot

To be something I'm not

"Bella." Charlie knocked lightly on the door.

"What?" Sitting criss – cross on her bed, she sat up, shoving the piece of paper in her nightstand drawer.

"What do you want for dinner?"

"I'm not hungry." She growled fiercely.

I'm a fool

Out of love

'Cause I just can't get enough

Quick footsteps faded away as Charlie headed downstairs. Balance is what he called it. The friends, she could deal with, her formal best friend, not so much. It was a tug a war with her immoral boyfriend, or fiancé, as he wanted it, and her immoral werewolf best friend on different sides, pulling at her arms in both directions.

Even her most of her friends were against her boyfriend's reappearance in her life. Like Jessica Stanley and Lauren Mallory, hated her and seemed determined to crush her like a little beetle under their stiletto high heels. To be honest, she was a little scared of them. They had an unhealthy obsession of trying continuously to ruin her social status.

I'm just a little girl lost in the moment

I'm so scared but I don't show it

I can't figure it out

It's bringing me down I know

I've got to let it go

And just enjoy the show

At the same time, Angela, Ben and surprisingly, Mike, have been loyal to her. And of course, Edward always was there. Speaking of him, where is he? Glancing at the crooked clock, it said seven twenty – one. He should have been here at least thirty minutes ago. Frowning, she looked and the window and broke into a grin. A silver Volvo just parked outside of the driveway.

The sun is hot

In the sky

Just like a giant spotlight

The people follow the sign

And synchronize in time

It's a joke

Nobody knows

They've got a ticket to that show

Yeah

Within one minute, there was a knock at the door. Going down the stairs, she heard Charlie greet Edward with a grumble. "Good evening, Charlie." Edward replied somewhat automatically.

"Edward." Walking toward the pair awkwardly, she reached for his hand and got a little squeeze. Charlie glared at their hands in disgust.

"We'll be back at nine – thirty, Mr. Swan." With a grunt, Charlie slammed the door as they left. "Well, then, Edward smirked as they walk toward the car, "your father is in a great mood, is he not?"

Bella rolled her eyes, "Very funny."
