Disclaimer: No, I do not own Naruto or any of it's characters.

For many years, I've been told that I'm one of the smartest and most powerful shinobi in Konoha, and as an accomplished kunoichi, I take this as a compliment. But I also have to give credit. My books have taught me. And before you look at me weird, let me explain.

As a kid, I constantly went to the library, wanting to learn more and more. When I went to the academy, I absorbed everything I could.

I wanted to be the best kunoichi, so I kept reading books into the late hours of the night, doing homework weeks in advance.

My life has been nothing but book after book.

My parents were my baby books. They raised me, taught me my abc's and numbers, taught me manners and morals. I grew up on baby books.

In the academy, I had introduction books for beginners, my academy teachers. They were self explanatory: books for beginners in the art of shinobi.

My friends were my small adventure books, where the kids set out and do one thing after another, all with a laugh or a small tear when someone got hurt.

Sasuke…he was my first teen book. My first crush. With this book, I believed that I was starting to mature and become a woman. But I realized that this book was only a bad fiction, and after some time, I threw it out.

Three books that deserve much acknowledgement are Kakashi-sensei, Kurenai-sensei, and Tsunade-shishou. Under these three, I truly grew up and became the woman I dreamed I would be…but with a massive punch.

Then there were more adventure books, more humor, more self- help books (Ino's favorite title 'If you can't help yourself, then how can you help others: How to shop professionally'), until I came to one of the greatest books I have read, and am still reading.

It starts as a sad, tragic story, leading to surprises and adventures that no other book had taken me to before. The adventures were wild, heart wrenching, and inspiring. The surprises are spontaneous, loving, and hilarious. Slowly, the book also became a romance. It started innocent, minor flirting back and forth, but it soon became apparent that there was attraction on both sides.

The book almost dwindled, where neither of us could decide if the other truly felt the same way. Until another surprising event, where others interfered (for the better of the slowly developing book), and we finally confessed.

After that, the book is nothing but an excitement after another, with its passion, its adventure, and its ever surprising nature. There are bad times, of course, but the good times outshine the bad.

And one day, the book started having little baby books right beside it.

This book is my favorite book, and I know, that I won't drop this book, or skip to see to the end. I want to read every word inside, to cherish them and every emotion that comes with it.

"Sakura-chan! Where's my hat?!" A shout came from somewhere in the mansion. With a wry grin, Sakura answered, finishing her hair up as she stood, her kimono heavily layered. "The kids hid it in the kitchen pantry. Next to the vegetables!"

"MOM! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TELL!!!!" She heard several shrieks of laughter from their kids, all of them scurrying to run from their father, who chased them for his vengeance of hiding his hat.

Walking down the stairs, she could only smile, picking up the dropped hat and dusting it off as she watched her love and her children run around. After awhile they stopped, and her love came over to her, kissing her softly, which only got four sets of giggles.

Placing the hat on his spiky bright blond head, she smiled, "It wouldn't do for you to forget your hat, Hokage-sama."

Gazing at her, Naruto grinned that foxy grin that always made her melt, "It wouldn't do for me to forget my wife either. She's the one with the books, after all."

It's a short 'n' sweet one shot with NaruSaku. It literally popped into my head out of no where, and I had to write it down. Hope you liked it:)
