Jaune was suffering internally and physically as he walked down the halls of Beacon. Careful not to bump into anyone that might voice concern of why he looks so troubled.

He had to do something, anything to release this dark deepened desire. It was hurting him, and in more ways than one. It first started with the fidgeting in class as the addicting thoughts raced in his mind, then it followed up with the shaking of his hands as withdrawal kicked in.

Yes that's right, he had an addiction but not for a substance like hard drugs, but of something much more dark and horrid. More specifically, a body, squirming below him as he stabbed into its soft flesh, or its screams soothing his ears as he ended its life. Jaune started to shake again as the thought of it sent shivers of delight down his spine.

Lately, to tame these desires, he would kill little things that were innocent and helpless, such as birds, or rabbits. Of course it took a great deal of patience, as it was no easy feat catching a small creature with your bare hands. Only to stab its tiny body with a mail opener.

Once again his fingers began to fidget at

this line of thinking. But it began to become uncontrollable as his hands started vibrating.

He clasped his hands together in an attempt to cease the erratic movement, but it still continued. His frustration decided what he was going to do...what he needed to do. Jaune was going to slaughter an innocent being from Beacon academy. The knights legs began to move in the direction of the dorm halls of Beacon as he came up with a plan on how he was going to achieve his 'prey'.

There was a lot of work into murder, you had to be quick, precise, and most importantly, intelligent. One wrong step and you would just end up in prison or worse execution. Jaune had a preference of killing men, since they posed more of a challenge, but he didn't feel like putting up with that today.

Woman tended to be easier since he could seduce them, it wasn't easy though. He had to come up with a believable story to start with, then he would have to figure out what made the girl tick, after that, when their guard is down and nobody is around; he would swiftly end their life.. Painfully slow of course.

It always felt like a game though when he chose women, as they could be sometimes so gullible to what he said. Since he studied the psychology of the human brain, Jaune was very intelligent on how a person thinks and what they think.

He was also very methodical with his kills, he couldn't just start hacking away, that was to sloppy. He had to treat the situation like it was an open heart surgery.

One wrong slip up and he was done for, he would also have to be very cautious of everything he touched. If he grabbed a cup, he would have to come back and wipe it clean so his DNA wouldn't be left. Which would make it very difficult for him as he's inside the room. Nothing he can't handle though.

Jaune stood outside a random dorm door, he didn't have any knowledge of who lived inside the room or if it was even a girl. But his luck never ran out on him, so why would it today?

The blonde placed his hand against his chest and started to take deep breaths to center himself, and to build up sweat. He needed to do this for the lie he was going to tell and so he could make his clothes cling a little.

After that was done, Jaune reached into his pocket and pulled out a butterfly knife, giving it a few flicks and performing a couple of tricks before the thin blade was out. He brought the blade up to the side of his face and sliced into the flesh, producing a deep gash as blood started to leak out of the wound.

He didn't even bat an eyelash at the excruciating pain he felt. Jaune closed his knife with a flick and tucked it away into his pocket. He had to be very careful when entering this dorm room, if even a drop of his own blood was found, he would probably be arrested the day after.

Jaune brought the underside of his shoe up and wiped his hands with the grime before applying it onto his own face to make him look dirty and disheveled.

After that was done, Jaune brought his hand up to the door, preparing to give a few knock.

Catherine stared at her friend's face at the other end of the scroll call. "Soo.. Have you talked to any guys their or better yet.. Fucked any?" Her friend questioned with a devious smile.

Catherine started to blush up a storm at her friends bold question. "W-well.. No. All the guys at this school seem to be too distracted at how the famed Pyrrha Nikos is doing or how nice that blonde bimbos tits or ass looks." She explained in an aggravated tone.

Her friend on screen nodded with an 'oh'. "Don't worry about them Cathy. Just do this, show some skin and play flirty with them, and I'm sure they'll be kissing the ground you walk on soon enough."

Catherine chuckled at her friends solution as she pushed a brown lock of hair behind her ear. "Yea.. I hope." Sighing tiredly as she remembered she still needed to study, Catherine stared at her history book.

"So, where's the rest of the team?" Her friend questioned curiously. Catherine shrugged in response. "I don't know..probably seeing a movie or something." She answered in a slightly bored tone.

Her friend on the other end of the videochat smirked. "Then why aren't you with them?"

Catherine grabbed a bunch of papers with notes written on them, she showed it to the camera and answered with. "Because I have to study for these stupid exams. It's so damn stressful."

"Then go find a guy and have him fuck the stress away." Her friend proposed. Catherine shook her head as she spoke. "Kate, it's not so simple, it's not like a guy is just going to fall in my lap."

As if on cue, a few loud raps were heard from outside her door. "Uhhg.. Kate I gotta go. I'll talk to you later." Catherine said as she ended the call.

She got up from her bed and walked over to the door, twisting the doorknob, she opened it and almost fell over in shock. Standing before her, was a hot blonde and slightly sweaty guy.

"Hey, some jackass just mugged me, is it okay if I could use your scroll?" Jaune asked in a pained tone, he also held his arm cutely, accentuating his biceps.

"Hot...I-I mean.. What?" Catherine stuttered as she was to entranced from his looks and completely ignored his question. She took notice of the gash on the side of his face. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay. Here let me patch you up inside." Without warning, Jaune was yanked inside the girls dorm room.

She led him by hand to a worn blue couch and sat him down. "Give me a second, i'll go get my first aid." Catherine said as she went over to her bathroom and frantically searched for her first aid kit.

Jaune chuckled to himself. He could already tell this was an easy kill, from the way she stroked her hair when she talked, or chewed on her lip when she stared at his own, she was infatuated. Catherine soon came back with the green kit in hand.

"Can I take my shirt off, I feel like I'm burning up." Jaune questioned as he wiped the sweat from his brow.

"Yes! Or w-wait ummm.. Sure." Catherine all but blurted. Jaune smirked internally and took of his slightly damp shirt, he then tucked it into his back pocket, revealing the pecs and abs that slightly protruded from his body.

All thanks to his nightly sessions with his red-headed partner of course, he thought internally.

Catherine started to drool at the sight, but she quickly snapped out of it. She opened up the green kit and grabbed an antiseptic wipe packet, ripping it open. She used the damp fabric to clean the blood off of the blondes face, careful not to put him in anymore pain.

"I'm Catherine by the way, but you can call me Cathy. What's your name?" She asked as she cleaned the gash out.

Jaune didn't even wince at the stinging sensation he felt as she cleaned his wound. "Jaune..but you can just call me Jaune." He joked, her lips coiled into a small smile at this.

"So, what happened to you?" Catherine questioned as she placed the bloody wipe on the coffee table. "I kinda got attacked, but I'm fine now since you fixed me up." Jaune answered with a smile that played with her heart strings.

Catherine could feel the blush spreading across her cheeks. "Umm.. I need to use the restroom, i'll be back so don't go anywhere." She told, slightly flustered.

The knight nodded and watched her disappear into the bathroom with a sway to her hips, closing the door. Catherine started to have a mental breakdown as she paced the bathroom. This was her chance, a hot guy that luckily stumbled into her, slightly injured.

If she played her cards right, she probably wouldn't have to sleep alone tonight. It's been weeks since she's had sex and she was going to make sure that this Jaune broke that streak. Sure, it might piss off her team that she was bringing a boy into their dorm, but she could careless.

She stared at herself in the mirror, giving herself a mental pep talk. Remembering her friends tips, Catherine took off her shirt, leaving her in only a white tank top. She then reached behind and undid her bra, yanking it out of her tank top and tossing it onto the floor. Her C-cup breasts felt much more loose and prone to slipping out on 'accident'.

Catherine grabbed perfume off the sink and gave herself a few sprits so she would smell appeasing.

While she was busy doing her makeup, Jaune was busy retracing his steps, trying to remember everything he touched in the dorm room. Luckily it wasn't much. Jaune's head turned to the coffee table.

Grabbing the bloody wipe, he stuffed it into his pocket since it did have his blood on it.

He then grabbed a nonlatex glove and scissors from the green kit, he slipped the glove on and stood up from the couch. Since Catherine was taking her time, Jaune was going to take his as he walked around the apartment.

Hands behind his back so he wouldn't accidentally touch something, Jaune peered at a photo on top of a table, he only recognized Catherine out of the four people in the picture, she had a smile on her face as she was sitting near a bonfire with who he guessed was her team.

Jaune returned the smile, as he understood the lives he was going to ruin today. He turned to the dorm door that was still open and pushed it close with his gloved hand, making sure to lock it as well so no one would disturb him.

Jaune heard the bathroom door creak open, he quickly made his way back to the couch, hiding the scissors in his back pocket.

"Sorry about that." Catherine apologized as she stepped out. Jaune took notice of the perfume she must of applied as he smelled the sweet smell emanating from her person.

"Soo… Can I use your scroll?" Jaune asked again with a sheepish smile. Catherine gave a curt nod. "Of course." She turned around to grab the scroll still on her bed. She scooped it up and turned back around.

Startled, Catherine jumped slightly as Jaune was just a foot away from her, his scent invading her nostrils. She held out her hand that was holding her scroll. "Here you go cutie."

The blonde smiled at her attempt at flirting. "Thank you." Instead of taking the scroll, Jaunes hand shot out and gripped Catherine's neck in a vice grip, he then stabbed into her stomach with the scissors he took from before, easily going through her aura.

She tried to scream but couldn't as sound would refuse to escape from her crushed throat. Jaune forced his hand through the small incision he made with the scissors until his hand felt her stomach. He grabbed it and extracted his hand from her abdomen, dragging the organ out as well.

Jaune watched as the brunette tried to break free from his death grip, her attempts became futile as she felt her life slipping away. He felt ecstatic, he hasn't felt this alive in months, it felt so rejuvenating to quench his dark desires that's been boiling in him ever since his last kill.

Catherine's tear filled eyes drooped as she succumbed to death. Jaune dropped her body to the hardwood floor and frowned. "I always hated killing the pretty ones." He said in slight dejection.

It would be hours before anyone would discover the body, so he decided to have a little more fun. Jaune started to disembowel the young girl's corpse, making sure to rip out every organ. Blood started to pool around the body, the puddle grew large enough to reach and stain the white carpet.

At the sight of this, Jaune came up with an idea. He dipped his gloved fingers in the blood and started to write a message out on the wall. After five minutes, he finally finished his disgusting work. Jaune read the message out loud to make sure it sounded all right.

"Dear Beacon, im sorry I murdered this brown haired beauty, she fortunately won't be the only one. Catherine was nice enough to invite me inside and she looked a little lonely. Im sure she enjoyed my company. Oh and don't perform an autopsy because I already did.

Your student,

Catch me if you can."

Jaune finished with a wide smile, it then morphed into slight disgust at the pungent smell emanating from the body. Deciding it was time to go, Jaune carefully threw away the bloody glove and left the dorm room.

The girl's body and the message was discovered two hours later by the three remaining members of her team.

Word spread like wildfire around the prestiges campus. A student dying on campus was unheard of, what made it worse was the fact that it wasn't because of natural causes. Classes had been put on halt for the day and everyone was to stay in there dorms as police began scouring the campus for anyone the could be suspicious.

Ruby was sitting in her bed, under the covers in fear. "How could something like that happen?" She exclaimed aloud, her voice slightly trembling. Blake for the first time wasn't reading as she was in slight shock. "I'm not sure, but whoever did this could still be out there." The bookworm replied.

"Poor girl. No one deserves something like that" Weiss said with depression as she layed on her bed, counting the tiles on the ceiling. Yang wasn't sure what to make of all of it, the mood was so glum, definitely not a time to crack any jokes or witty puns.

The thought that a murderer could be on campus made her shudder. It felt like something out of those cheesy horror movies, only this was real. All of it. One thing was for sure though, she wouldn't let anything happen to her baby sister, no matter what.

The girls sat in silence as the hallways in the dorms were filled with officers, checking in on every room to make sure that another casualty hadn't been inflicted. Ospin was at the scene of the crime. Blood and organs were everywhere, and the smell was terrible. Good Witch who was beside him kept her eyes towards her feet as the site of dismemberment was to graphic for her.

Sensing this, Ospin had her leave, as he wouldn't want her to lose her lunch to the sight. Homicide was taking photographs of each and everything in the room, making sure the rock was unturned as they gathered as much evidence as possible.

Ospin stared at the bloody message that was left in the gory wake. He couldn't believe what he was looking at. In all his years of being headmaster, he had never had a student murder another. Guess there was a first for everything.

"Detectives? Any DNA or clues we could go off of to help lead us to whoever did this?" He said aloud, his eyes never leaving the red message on the wall. "Sir." A man said from behind, "Whoever did this was either a ghost or bigfoot. We have no DNA whatsoever, not even on the corpse. We did a test down umm...below as well…" the Detective made known in slight embarrassment, "...but it seems she wasn't violated either. " Ospin hmm'd at the answer.

It was the last thing he wanted to hear, as now the killer was still in Beacon's halls, and there was no way to discern who it was. "I understand." Ospin replied as he exited the smelly dorm. A frown adorned his face as he was going to have to make a very difficult call to the parents of the victim, breaking the news that there daughter had been murdered.

He would say that she died painlessly, even though each and every organ in the human body was scattered in the room, what made it worse was that they were still warm.

Jaune was currently sitting on his bed in his own team's dorm room, reading a book on the human anatomy that Yang gave to him for the holiday's. She was a little curious as to why he would need it, but he simply told her it was for 'research'.

The kill he made yesterday still swam in his thoughts. Just the mere thought of it made him get all excited again, but he decided to relax. It was the talk of many students today, especially during lunch. Some students were coming up with crazy theories as to who and why 'someone' killed Catherine.

The three remaining members of her team were constantly berated by questions from other students on why she was killed. This only further saddened the team as they made no attempt to answer, obviously because they couldn't. One particular girl from the team couldn't take it, and had to stay at her friends dorm for the rest of the day, since their teams dorm was dirtied from Catherines blood and entrails.

Jaune realised he was lost in his thoughts as he continued to read the same sentence in his book.

He turned a page and smiled in content, he had been reading the book for the past month, and he could hardly contain himself.

The information was so vast and useful, it would prove useful for his next kills, whenever that was. Jaune closed the book and tucked it under his pillow, he then reached under his mattress and pulled out a journal. It wasn't a dream journal, but more of a dairy.

Why did he have a diary? Simple, Jaune usually wrote letters to his deceased father, he never knew the man, but writing in the pages gave him some closure. This journal was so special to him, that on some nights, he would sleep with it hugging his chest.

Jaune grabbed a pencil and began to write.

'Dear Father,

I have done it, it was so exciting and fun for my first time. The way her supple skin felt upon touch, and the way she felt as I entered her was so delightful. She didn't give me any hassle of course, the beautiful girl invited me in with no second thought. I wish you could've been there to see it. I have been meaning to ask you something. What was my mother like? I've never seen her before, since she died. So if you could please answer me this, it would help. I'm studying psychology and the human anatomy just like you did when you were young. I hope it serves to help me in my work to come.

Your son,

Jaune.'

He placed the pencil in between the journal and clenched his hand to devoid of the oncoming cramp. He loved writing in this journal, it felt like the only thing that kept him sane, apart from killing of course.

He closed the material and stuffed it under his pillow, hidden so nobody would find it. Jaune took a deep breath as he observed the sun dipping down into the horizon, indicating it was close to dusk.

The bathroom door was suddenly opened as Pyrrha had finished her shower, she walked out in only a towel to cover her naked body, water still dripping from her chin and collecting slightly in the crevice of her breasts. "Do you feel like you are ready for the upcoming exams?" She asked as she dried her hair out.

Jaune shrugged as he answered with. "Yea, I should be good." He turned his head to look at the champion, his eyes trailing over to her uncovered and smooth legs.

Pyrrha's own eyes stared at his facial features, mainly his ocean blue eyes. She then took notice of a fairly large cut running down his face. "Monty!"

And like a caring mother would treat her child, Pyrrha was instantly by Jaune, examining the gash with a frown adorning her features. "How did you get this?" She questioned in a stern tone as she ran her index finger along the cut.

Jaune smiled sheepishly and answered in a meek voice. "Ohh.. Umm, well I went out into Emerald forest by myself and decided to hunt some Grimm - a beowolf got a lucky shot on me - but i'm fine, really." He assured with a bright and inviting smile that made her heart flutter.

Pyrrha's face morphed into surprise, but then suddenly dipped into anger, "Jaune, what have I told you about going into the forest alone, its dangerous, and you could get seriously hurt. I don't want to lose you." She finished with sincerity.

Jaune rolled his eyes, "Pyrrha, you can't keep babying me. I can handle myself, hasn't our training proven that? So what if I go into Emerald forest." He replied, breaking away from her grasp.

"Well.. Just don't do it again." Pyrrha ordered. The blonde nodded and watched her go into the bathroom to change.

Once she left, he was immediately scolding himself. Jaune couldn't believe he let something like that slip, he should of just healed the gash using his aura when he left Catherine's dorm. But since it already scabbed up, he couldn't.

Jaune sighed tiredly as his finger felt the scab located on the side of his face. He couldn't continue to murder if he let things like these slip, it was just suspicion or accusations waiting to happen, and he wouldn't last long in a prison.

Jaune wasn't even a good fighter, his greatest strength was his brain. The only reason he was able to execute that kill so precisely yesterday was because he thought out a plan of action. He was sure that if he fought the now deceased girl in an arena, she would mop the floor with him. But if she wasn't so blinded by lustful desires, maybe she would still be alive, and not at the end of a jagged knife, begging for mercy.

Jaune broke his morbid thoughts as he turned his head to the still slightly open bathroom door, he really wanted to sneak up and watch Pyrrha change, the thought of it sounded exciting. He stood up from the bed and slowly walked over to the bathroom door, he peered through the slit and was greeted with a wonderful sight.

Pyrrha was still naked and wet of course as she started to brush her hair out, unbeknownst of the spectator behind her. Jaune licked his lips as she bent down to pick up her red lacey bra, his hand started to tremble uncontrollably as he watched the beauty change.

Pyrrha felt it, the way when she moved something else would take a breath. She sensed the eerie feeling of someone watching her, but she didn't stop changing.

The thought of it being Jaune of all people slightly excited her, her hand traced up her stomach to squeeze her breast. Pyrrha let out a delighted moan at her own touch.

Curious, she whipped her head to the slightly open door, frowning when she noticed no one was their. Must of been her imagination.

Jaune was still behind the door, but out of view. Deciding to stop now before he was caught, The blonde boy walked over and flopped on his bed.

He heard the front door open, Nora's bubbly voice filled the room. "-ust saying that, we should get a baby beowolf and train it on how to fight and stuff." She chirped as she walked over to her own bed with Ren, setting her books down.

"Nora, that sounds..good and all. But highly improbable. Plus, what would we name it?" Ren questioned as he dropped his own study materials on his soft bed.

Nora was already jumping up and down from her own mattress as she answered with. "Ruffles! It sounds like a name you would give to an attack hound. Just think about it, Sick em Ruffles." Ren chuckled at her antics as she did a flip somehow.

"And what would we feed it? It takes a great responsibility to take care of a pet Nora." Ren pointed out as he leaned against the door.

"Easy, we would feed it pancakes!" She shouted in glee as she jumped up and down from her bed.

The bathroom door opened, and Pyrrha walked out in her school uniform, hair still damp. "Did you two study in the library for the upcoming exam?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Ren gave a curt nod as he responded. "Yes, I studied history while Nora was busy playing hide and go seek with Ruby." Pyrrha brought a hand up to cover a laugh threatening to come out. "Is that so?"

Nora responded with a mmhm, still bouncing on her bed of course. Pyrrha let out a tired sigh as she knew the happy atmosphere was going to change dramatically with what she had to say next.

"Well, as you all know, a body of a girl was found in a dorm room yesterday, and people are saying it was the work of a killer." Jaunes ears perked up at her words while Nora halted her bouncing, Ren frowned at the news.

Pyrrha continued. "Apparently, the killer is a student that goes here, so I want you all to keep your guard up. If you see something suspicious, notify a staff member immediately." She instructed.

"Wait, if the killer goes to this school, then wouldn't that mean any of us could be the killer ourselves?" Jaune questioned ironically in a worried tone.

Pyrrha nodded as she responded. "Yes, as I doubt any of you are the killer, it's still a possibility. Jaune, I don't want you going anywhere without me."

Jaune's eyes went wide at the statement. "Wait, why?!" He questioned in an annoyed tone. This would be problematic. Having Pyrrha glued to him would make it impossible for him to continue murdering the helpless students.

The redhead sat down next to him as she explained. "The girl that was murdered was a team leader. Even though it might be a coincidence, I'm still going to rule out the possibility that the killer might be targeting team leaders specifically. So I want you to stay with me at all times." Jaune took notice of how she scooted closer to him when she finished.

He already knew of course, the crush that the redhead developed for him. To him, Pyrrha was a really sweet and nice girl, and he enjoyed the conversations they shared. He also was grateful for the nightly training sessions she went out of her way to do for him.

Even though he was aware of the crush, Jaune purposefully played oblivious with Pyrrha, only because it was so fun to manipulate her, like he was about to do right now.

"Which team leader was it?" Jaune asked in a slight weary tone.

Pyrrha sighed as she answered. "It was team 'CRWW's leader." At the sound of this, Jaune's eyes widened in 'disbelief'. "C-Catherine?" He asked in a surprised.

The champion nodded silently. "Why? Did you know her?" Pyrrha asked, Jaunes head lowered in sadness.

"S-she..was a good friend." He answered sadly as fresh tears started to pool in his eyes.

"Oh Jaune..i'm so sorry." Pyrrha instantly hugged him sympathetically. Jaune started to 'cry' on her shoulder as she rubbed his back to comfort him. "I-I can't believe she's dead." Jaune mumbled into her ear in disbelief.

Pyrrha turned her head to look at Nora and Ren, sadness etched on their faces. She gestured for them to leave so Jaune could have his space. Ren quickly understood what Pyrrha was trying to convey, he grabbed Nora's hand and dragged her out of the dorm room.

The sounds of Jaunes gentle sobs filled the room as he continued to cry on Pyrrha's now wet shoulder. "Jaune..is their anything I can do to make you feel better?" She asked as she kept rubbing his back in a soothing manor.

He almost smiled as he answered with. "Y-yes.. Could you sleep with me tonight? I don't want to feel alone." Pyrrha's face turned tomato red at his question.

But deep down, her heart was soaring. This was her chance to push their relationship further, into something more than friends..she hoped. "Of course."

A smile spread across her face as the knight wrapped his arms around her. His scent was so intoxicating, it made her want to moan. Pyrrha realised she was still in her school uniform, she definitely wasn't going to sleep in that tonight. "I'm gonna go change for bed." She informed as she broke the hug and went straight to the bathroom.

Jaune started to chuckle deviously. "Almost like playing an instrument." He said to himself. He then took off his shirt and pants, getting under the covers, Jaune waited for Pyrrha to finish changing.

He didn't have to wait long though as she emerged out of the bathroom in only a red bra and matching red panties. It was funny, usually she wore something much more..innocent to bed.

Jaune scooted over so he could make room for the sexy redhead. She got under the covers and faced the knight. "Jaune.. You're shaking." She made known in a worried tone.

Grabbing the blonde, She pulled him into a hug so he wouldn't feel cold, his head resting on her bosom. He wasn't shaking from feeling cold, no. Jaune was shaking because his withdrawal was starting to return again.

He could always just kill Pyrrha, but people would draw conclusions fast. Plus, his father stated in his own journal that his aura was activated by Jaunes mother, who ever that was.

So Jaune decided he wouldn't kill Pyrrha since she was special. But since he couldn't kill her, it didn't mean he wasn't going to have a bit of fun.

"P-Pyrrha..i'm scared. What if t-the killer comes after me?" Jaune somewhat stuttered in a cowardly tone.

Pyrrha's grip on the blonde tightened at the sound of this. "I won't let anything happen to you Jaune.. I promise." She assured into his ear as she started to run her fingers through his golden hair in a relaxing manor.

Jaune was quiet at this, his trembles started to worsen. He needed to kill again, but now was not the time unfortunately. Tomorrow perhaps, he just needed to be more careful since security has been amped up since yesterday, and apparently Pyrrha was going to be following him around for now on.

But he was smart, he could think of something. Jaune slowed his breathing down, which in turn slowed his heart rate. He felt his eyes became droopy until sleep took him.

Pyrrha stared at his sleeping face, the broken moon's light cascading through the window. She slowly inched her face towards his, taking his lips with hers softly. The kiss felt electric, but Pyrrha soon broke it, frowning at what she's done.

Not because the kiss was poor, but because she felt Jaune might never return it. For months She's been trying her best to win his affection, but his attention seemed to be drawled onto someone else.

Yang Xiao Long.

At first Pyrrha thought they were just friends, and believed nothing would grow from it. But she soon realised that might not be the case, since Jaune had grown distant from her. Instead of sitting with her, Jaune sat next to Yang at lunch.

He laughed at Yang's jokes, comforted her when she was stressed out, and hugged her so much. Sure, Pyrrha might of felt a little jealous, but she was worried that He was going to be left heartbroken. She was going to make sure that didn't happen.

Pyrrha was pulled from her thoughts as Jaune exhaled deeply. She then smiled as he pulled her in tighter.

"I won't let her have you...goodnight..Jaune."

As always, the cafeteria was rowdy and extremely loud. Since no teachers watched over the students, they all had a carefree attitude, and the stress of finals only made it worse. Except for team RWBY and JNPR.

Ruby plopped down next to her usually boisterous sister, while Weiss sat across from her, Blake was sitting next to Yang. The reaper then started to eat her tray of food and cookies as always. Ruby started to feel kind awkward at how quiet the table was compared to rest of the cafeteria.

Usually, her older sister would just try and egg on Weiss, or make puns about cats near Blake, which was kinda strange in her opinion.

She turned her head to stare at the glum expression on Yang's face, this confused Ruby as her sister was usually the happiest out of the whole table, except for Jaune.

"What's wrong sis?" Ruby questioned in a worried tone.

Yang stared into open space, not even making an attempt to eat the food on her tray. Ruby poked her cheek to grab her attention. The blonde turned her head to acknowledge her little sister.

"Huh? Did you say something Rubes?" Yang asked with a confused face.

Ruby frowned as she asked. "Is everything.. Ok?"

Yang stared at her little sister, trying to decipher what she meant by the question. She then answered with. "Oh.. Yea. Just a little stressed out about finals ya know." Yang lied.

Ruby nodded in understandment. "Yea, i'm a little worried about finals too. Especially professor Oobl-"

Yang zoned Ruby's rambling out and stared at the full tray of untouched food in front of her, the sad expression returning to her features. Why was she sad?

Jaune.

He hadn't answered her scroll messages this morning, and that was very un-Jaune like. She would usually wake up, take a shower, get dressed and ready and then text Jaune. It was one of her favorite things really, it was the only time she could zone out of her school or team drama.

Their conversations in text were always interesting, sometimes with him being funny or her being flirty. She remembered the time when she 'accidentally' sent a nude of herself to Jaune, that got mixed reactions from him.

It wasn't actually an accident on her part, she sent it purposefully to see what he would think of her body; and to see if Jaune would get the 'hint'. But he didn't make any comment about it, which kinda annoyed the hell out of her.

So for Yang to be deprived of her early morning texting, wasn't a good thing. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her scroll, checking her messages in hopes that Jaune replied to her texts, but he hadn't.

A head of red hair grabbed her attention.

"Pyrrha.. Shouldn't you be keeping an eye out on Jaune?" Ren question as he sat next to the champion, Nora quickly taking a seat next to him.

Pyrrha sighed tiredly as she answered. "He said he wanted to be alone right now - he's still kinda torn up about what happened." She explained.

Yang's eyebrow perked up at this. "What happened to Jaune?" She asked, curious to what the redhead would say.

Pyrrha turned her head at Yang's question. "The girl that was murdered the day before yesterday was a good friend of Jaunes.. He's not taking it so well."

Yang's took on a bewildered expression. She's been talking to Jaune for the past four months and he tells her everything. Jaune never once mentioned this 'friend' of his.

"I didn't catch the name of who it was." Blake said from beside Ruby as she placed her book down.

"The team leader of CRWW, Catherine." Pyrrha answered in a slightly hush tone, Ruby's frowned at this.

"Her teammates must feel terrible." Weiss added in solemn tone. Pyrrha nodded as she continued to speak.

"Yes. Ruby, I want you to keep your guard up. Their might be a chance that the killer is specifically targeting team leaders. It might be a little..tiring but keep your Aura up at all times, and If you can, stay near your teammates. The killer could come after you, and the last thing you want is to be taken by surprise." Pyrrha instructed to the red wearing reaper.

Ruby shifted uncomfortably at the thought of being murdered. Weiss reached over and grabbed her hand to comfort her.

"Don't worry Ruby.. We won't let anything happen to you." Weiss said in a surprisingly warm tone, but it did the trick as Ruby's anxiety vanished.

"Isn't there a possibility could be one of us." Blake pointed out, at the sound of this Ruby pulled her hand back in slight fear.

"R-Ruby?! What's wrong?" Weiss questioned in confusion. Ruby started to almost speak in gibberish as she answered.

"You-I well.. I can't.. What if you're the killer or.." Ruby attempted to run, but Pyrrha grabbing her hand stopped her.

Grabbing Ruby by the shoulders to keep her still, Pyrrha began to speak. "Ruby, you just need to calm down. I highly doubt that any of us are the killers - But it's still a possibility."

Ren sighed in exhaustion as he made himself heard. "Then what exactly do you want us to do? We can't just keep our Aura's up all day, that will just tire us out and will only prove to complicate things when we have to attend Miss Goodwitch combat class." He stated matter of factly.

Pyrrha released her grip on the smaller team leader and sat back down. "All Im saying is, be careful of your surroundings.. All of you, and especially be careful of who you're with or who you trust." She reiterated

What Pyrrha was asking wasn't easy. She basically wanted everybody to watch their back and more specifically keep an eye on who they were interacting with. This was only difficult because school was a priority. How is a student supposed to maintain passing grades while also maintaining their lives at the same time.

"We better finish eating before our next period starts."

The table started to eat in silence, both team JNPR and RWBY curious to who the killer could be, except for Yang.

"Where is Jaune right now?" Yang inquired,

Pyrrha's eyes narrowed at this, her fork stopping an inch from her mouth.

"He's in the library right now.. He wants space right now. Why?" The champion questioned, curious to what Yang wanted with her crush.

Standing up from the table, Yang answered with a slight smile forming on her lips. "I'm going to go cheer him up." She then walked away from the table.

"Tell him I said hi!" Ruby told as Yang exited the cafeteria with a slight hop in her walk.

Pyrrha watched the blonde leave in jealousy. She hated the fact that she could carry such negative feelings for the busty blonde, but at the same time, she deserved it. Yang always tried to take Jaune from her, no matter where he was.

The fork in Pyrrha's hand began to bend as the rage in her started to boil. Taking notice, Nora tapped Pyrrha on the shoulder, "Ummm Pyrrha, is everything ok?" The Valkyrie's worried tone broke the redhead from her rage induced trance.

"Y-yes..i'm fine." She assured, resuming consuming her food. Trying to bury thoughts of hatred she held for the buxom blond from RWBY.

"Soooo! Um, well. How do you think you guys are gonna do on the finals?" Ruby questioned the whole table as she devoured her cookies. Everyone turned their head towards the reaper.

"I will pass with top marks, as always." Weiss gloated as she checked her nails for dirt. Blake rolled her eyes at the response and opened her book, ignoring the question completely.

Nora halted her consumption of pancakes and elbowed Ren "Well...me and Renny have come up with a plan…" She said deviously. Ren turned his head towards the ginger in slight confusement. "...Ren and I are going to try and steal the test documents so we can prepare ourselves for the final." Nora whispered with glee.

Ren sighed. "No Nora, we are going to study like everyone else." Nora groaned as the word study reached her ears. "Ughhhhh..Rennn you know I hate that word..it would be so much easier if we borrowed th-"

"Stole." Ren corrected. "S-stole the documents. What do you think Pyrrha?" Pyrrha held back a giggle at the silly plan. " I believe it would be best if you just studied."

"UGHHHH, THAT WORD AGAIN!"

It's this smell that always brought him back here, the aroma of pages turning, and books opening. Yes, Jaune did enjoy reading at Beacons library, he wasn't a book worm..no. He only came to the library to read a certain book hidden in what felt like the endless rows of mostly unread literature.

What was this book? His father's journal. Its writing consisted of the man's life, learnings and experiences. Jaune enjoyed reading it, even if most of the content was dark.

The knight walked down a labeled row, searching for the hidden book. He was in the 'A' row since that was his last name. He soon found what he was looking for as he yanked a false book out of the shelf to reveal a hidden journal behind it.

Jaune reached in and pulled the leather journal out, careful not to damage the precious object. Once the book was out, he refitted the false book and found a table hidden in the back of the library to read at.

He sat down and begin to read the pages. He smiled as his eyes traced over his father's handwriting, so much of his life was fitted in these pages that Jaune felt that this was the only thing he had left of him.

He turned a page and began to read.

Entry no. 343

What is happening to me? This woman, she makes me feel so different. And to be quite honest, I enjoy it. I haven't felt this happy since I talked to my mother or killed her. I'm afraid I might be having feelings for this woman.

It all started when she activated my Aura, I felt warm to be granted such an ability, but I passed it off as being thankful. But when I started to talk to her and hear her stories, and understand who she was; that's when I started to feel the effects.

The dreaded effects of love. This shouldn't be happening to me. I'm a murderer, not a lover. It's strange really, I was suppose to kill her, not fall in love with her.

Dreadfully,

Jauck

Jaune stared at the page as he finished reading. He never knew his father was conflicted by something as petty as love. From other entries he's read, Jaune knew his father was a killer such as himself. At least this answers some of his questions about his mother.

Jaune closed the old book and held it to his chest, happy that his trembles have disappeared. He wanted to kill someone today, but it seems that his father's writings have prevented that.

Jaune vision was suddenly obscured as two hands rose in front of his line of sight from behind.

"Guess whoooo?" A playful voice asked from behind. Jaune smiled slightly as he recognised the voice.

"Only the sweetest girl in the world." He answered in an equally playful tone. Yang lowered her hands and punched his arm in a soft manner as she sat down next to him.

"You forgot prettiest and strongest." She added with a smirk. Jaune rolled his eyes as he asked. "So why did you come?"

Yang's smirk faltered as she spoke. "Pyrrha told us about what happened to your friend….I came here to make sure you were doing ok..." She finished in a caring tone.

Jaune opened his mouth to speak, but Yang pulling him into a hug stopped him. "...I'm so sorry Jaune..Catherine was a your friend and she was taken from you." Her tone was very sympathetic, almost as if she was speaking from experience.

Jaune slowly returned the warm hug, much to her pleasure. Her scent was so delicious, he could hardly take it. He buried his head into Yang's bare neck to take in more of her scent.

Yang was happy that he was giving her affection that she's been starved of for the past couple of months, but she was also worried. Jaune wouldn't stop shaking, she couldn't tell if he was crying or if it was just deepening rage.

Jaune on the other hand felt very strange. His stomach felt like there were things flying inside. He soon deduced it was happiness, but why? He wasn't killing anyone or reading from his father's journal, so why was this happening to him?

Jaune then pulled back from the hug, his blue eyes glued to Yang's lilac orbs. Realisation then hit him like a dust train, it was the same sensation his father must've been feeling. Love.

While Jaune gazed at Yang, she stare at his trembling hands. They wouldn't stop shaking and she noticed that his legs were slightly shaking as well. Her hand reached out and grabbed his to control what she thought was anger.

"Jaune.. Are you going to be ok?" She asked, worried for his well being. Jaune's face morphed into confusion at her question, he then took notice of the uncontrollable reactions his body experiencing due to withdrawal.

"Umm yea.. I gotta go." Jaune said sheepishly as he suddenly stood up, his father's journal still in his hands.

"W-what? Why?" The brawler asked in incertitude. Jaune started towards the exit.

"It's important. I'll text you later." He soon left the library before the girl could further question him.

He needed to do it. There was no turning back now. He had to leave the library or he might've just killed the girl he loved. Yes, he hated to admit, but he was in love with Yang Xiao Long. Or was it a crush? He couldn't tell at this point.

But one thing is for certain, he needed to end somethings life right now before he ended his own

Yang starred in bewilderment as Jaune hurriedly left the library. Now she was seriously confused. First Jaune ignores her texts, then he hugs her, afterwards he leaves. Yang's eyes flashed red briefly for a moment as she wanted to smash everything in the Library. He was such a complicated boy and he drove her fucking crazy.

She wanted to jump him so bad, but at the same time beat the shit out of him for leaving her like this. A boy has never ever had such a large impact on her, and it left her embarrassed and made her feel weak. She wasn't the top dog anymore, she felt far from it. Jaune made her feel like a innocent puppy.

Yang shouted in rage and smashed the table in front of her into bits, "Monty dammit Jaune!"

"Yeesh." A familiar voice said in awe. Yang turned to see her feline partner walking towards her. "Not now Blake, i'm having problems and the last thing I want to do is talk." She fumed. "Boy problems." Blake pointed out as she sat in the wooden chair that wasn't destroyed. "You could tell?" Yang quirked in surprise.

"Yang, everyone can tell." Blake giggled as the blonde paced in front of her. "He's such a fucking jerk. I try so hard to get his attention, and all he does is walks all over me." Yang listed as she roamed back in forth, hair beginning to blaze brightly. "Well, You certainly aren't interested in the most intelligent boy in the school." The faunas made obviously clear.

"But that's what's so great about him. He's not after my body and he's way more down to earth then most. But at the same time, I could wave a fucking sign in front of him and he would completely miss it." Yang pouted as she finally sat on the ground, fingering the wooden bits on the ground.

"Look at it this way, you won't have to worry about other girls stealing him out from under you." Blake said as she whipped out smutty literature to engross herself in.

"Not true…" Yang shot back, she continued. "... Pyrrha is practically glued to that boy. I'm sure she is making advances of her own. She's also not very friendly when I try to as well." Blake looked up from her book as she countered, "I dont think Jaune is interested in her Yang. I actually think he's pretty annoyed with her."

Yang ignored her as she stood up. "What ever. If there is any competition, I'll just smash through it like I always do." She said boldly as she exited. Blake smiled slightly as her eyes began roaming through the page. "All great things come with time.
