Prologue
They were both drunk. Drowning their sorrows shot by shot. That was their first mistake.
They went upstairs in Jake's and rented a room for the night. Depressed, having casual, drunken sex, having not had an actual conversation with each other in months That was their second mistake.
They woke up the next morning, with hangovers, not speaking, and got dressed. He paid for the room and they left seperatly.
His fiance had just lied to him about being pregnant. Hidden it from him and then had a miscarrage. She had just served her husband with divorce papers after learning that he kidnapped a pregnant woman.
They were friends once who almost became more, but a hidden truth broke it up before it even started.
This is just the beginning for these two people. A long, bumpy, and deadly road lies ahead for them and someone neither you, nor they are expecting. Well, you'll see after the next chapter.
A/N: I bet you've already guessed who these two people are by now, but just in case you are totally wrong in the head and didn't guess with the obvious clues I gave you, I'll tell you. This is going to be a Jason/Elizabeth story, as are all my other ones. I know that was a short prologue, but that's all that needed to be said. If you are curious as to what'll happen next, review and I'll post. The more reviews, the more I'll know you like the story, and the faster I'll write it for you. If I don't get many reviews telling me to continue, I won't post it. But I'll say, I do have a lot of exciting ideas for this story and I will try to involve you in the writing process IF I get hung up on writer's block.

The situation in Port Charles:
It's one month after the prologue. Jason and Courtney are working on their relationship with help from Carly (of course!) Ric is in jail for kidnapping Carly. Jaosn and Sonny were fed up with him and since he helped them, they couldn't kill him and turned him into the police. Elizabeth has moved into an apartment with Emily and Nikolas. Emily finally made up her mind, and since Nikolas left Lydia, he's broke and has to share their apartment. (A/N: This isn't a Nik/Emily story, but I like them together better than Zander, so I am using him instead.) Emily's cancer is in remission now and she's doing well.
They haven't talked since that night at Jakes. They've avoided places where they thought each other would be. There was a run-in at Kelly's, there was no conversing, and since then, Jason hadn't been back. No one knew, except them, what had happened. There was an unspoken agreement that they wouldn't tell anyone.
