Hi everyone! I've written this very little story and I've decided to share it. Again... I apologize for the posible mistakes you might find... I try to do my beeesssttt... but anyway, I hope you like it!!

"A goodbye is not forever..."

He kept looking at his wife's eyes, she sobbed and took his hand.

"Or at least not ours, my dear..." He sobbed as well "We'll always be together."

"Mum, I wanna go... please let me..."

A really tall dark haired witch was checking her students essays when she heard the voice of her six year old daughter. She quickly looked down and saw her grabbing her robes.

"Annie..." She whispered. The girl stared at her. "But I already told you..."

"I know... you're busy running Hogwarts and I shouldn't disturb..." She interrupted her "But mum, I really want to go and see papa and granny... Please..."

The dark haired witch sighed and pick her little daughter up to then let her lie on her lap. The girl still kept her eyes on her mother's.

Her mom, Mabel, looked so much like her granny, Minerva. She was tall, strict and serious; besides, she had the same dark hair she had seen on pictures and the same "tough" look and hard temper, as her uncle Charlie used to say. All her looked like her young grandmother, everything was the same except for her eyes; they were sparkling light blue, just like the eyes of her granny's husband, Albus.

"And why do you want to see my parents, Annie?" Mabel asked. The little Annie just smiled.

"They are nice, mum..." she responded. "My granny Min has always been nice... I remember that when I stayed here with them on vacations, she used to bake cookies for me in the kitchens. She even let the house elves go and rest! But all because she said it was funnier if we tried to bake alone... Only grandmother and granddaughter... together." Mabel smiled.

"Oh well... Your granny Min is indeed nice, isn't she?" She said with a smile. Her daughter's words made her go back in time and remember how much she loved to spend time with her parents when she was little. She still remembered her mother's disapproving look and her father's smiling face while he ate lemon drops and wore his favorite socks; or when she used to slept in their bedroom right between them, surrounded by the fresh and sweet aroma of lemon grass and love.

"She is really nice of course, and so is papa!" Annie squeaked happily, bringing Mabel back from her memories. "Papa is always telling me stories about love and friendship..."

"Love?" Mabel asked. Annie nodded.

"Yes! He even told me how he met granny, and how much he loves her smile... and her eyes" the witch laughed.

"Oh Da..."

"Ye... But mum, it's cute!" She exclaimed. "He even showed me pictures of them together... They looked so young!" Mabel laughed again "Oh and you were there too... You were so tiny! They love you so much mum..."

"Yes... They do. And they love you as well."

"Wuuu! And I love them." Mabel patted Annie's dark hair. "Mum... You look so much like the young granny that is scary..." The woman laughed.

"Yes, it's true, so I've been told." They heard someone nocking the door. "And you look exactly like me when I was little, my Annie, so seems like you're going to have the same faith." Annie smiled "Come in!"

A tall auburn haired man appeared in the entrance of the office. Mabel quickly rolled her eyes and sighed when she heard Annie's squeak.

"Damn Charlie, couldn't you wait?" She snorted. Annie quickly fell off her mother's lap and run towards her uncle, who started laughing.

"Nope sis, I couldn't wait." He answered. Mabel rolled her eyes again "Dang woman, you're just like mom but with dad's eyes!"

"Yes, and you are dad with mom's eyes, we already know that, Chales, now can you go outside and wait? I'm busy with Annie.

"No you're not!" The child squeaked with indignation. "Hi, Carl-Carl!"

"Hello, An-An!" He responded to quickly pick her up. "How is my favorite niece?"

"She's your only niece, you clever" Mabel snorted staring at the essays again.

"Maaaaaabel stop acting like mom, please..."

"I'm not 'acting' like mom!"

"Yes you are."

"Certainly not!"

"That sounds like a mad mom huh..."

"Charles!"

"Yes, you are mom." Mabel snorted.

"But... granny Min is sweet and kind!" Annie protested. Charlie looked at her, who was still in his arms, and smiled.

"Oh yes she is, Annie, but that's now that she's old." Mabel gave him a dreadful look "You only know her as a tolerant and kind old woman, but huh, when I was a kid..."

"What happened when you were a kid?"

"When we were younger your grandparents were... stricter, Annie." Mabel responded. Charlie chuckled.

"Stricter, Mabel? Seriously? We're talking about Minerva McGonagall, woman, she was almost a killer!" Annie giggled.

"Granny Min being a killer? Nah..." Charlie nodded.

"Oh no kid, you laugh now because you weren't there..." Mabel rolled her eyes for third time that afternoon. It was true her mother was stricter, but he always overacted things... Just like their father. "She's still a nightmare for students... They're traumatized!!" Annie gasped.

"Well, well; we'll continue with story time later, Charles..."

"B-But..."

"Buuut..."

"Aaaawwww..." uncle and niece complained. Mabel rolled her eyes.

"Stop, both of you." Charlie groaned and patted Annie's hair. The girl smiled. "Charlie, please wait outside, I want to talk with you about... you know... what is happening..." The auburn haired man sighed and finally nodded. His wide smile had disappeared, thing that made Annie feel a little sad inside.

"Alright, headmistress, alright" he answered putting Annie back on the floor. "I'm going to be outside, okay?" Mabel nodded. "Right... See you later An-An..." the girl wave her hand while she watched him leaving. Mabel sighed.

"Look, Annie..." The girl quickly turned around to look at her mother's deep blue eyes. "You have to understand that we can't be always laughing. We're going through a big... situation at the moment, and we can't just let you go to the hospital wing now that things are not right with your grandparents."

"But..." The kid felt terribly bad. Tears quickly formed in her eyes. "Wh-Why...? I just want to play... or maybe eat a lemon drop and talk..." Mabel's heart sank when she saw her usual shiny green eyes lightless. "Mum I promise... I..."

"I'm sorry, An." She interrupted her. Annie's heart cringed. "But I can't let you go for now... We'll see if you can later, alright?" The girl sobbed and finally nodded "Good."

"I don't want them to be sick..." she cried. Mabel shook her head while her heart broke.

"Everything's going to be fine, darling, don't worry..." Annie tried to nodded. "Now, would you please go for a short while to the kitchens? I need to discuss something with your uncle."

"Alright..." she sighed trying to wipe her tears away to then open the door and disappeared. Mabel sniffed a little and started checking the essays again when she heard her brother entering into the office. She sighed and quickly left her square glasses on the table to look at him.

He always used to be cheerful and smiling, but he looked totally down that time.

"How are they doing?" He asked. Mabel sighed.

"If mom is not awake dad doesn't eat; if dad's not awake mom doesn't eat either. They always want to do all together." Charlie chuckled "What are you laughing at?"

"They are still in love, Mabel... They deserve to be admired for that."

"Not just for that, you dumb." He smiled sadly. "They're still strong enough for each other and even for us..." She sighed "I'm sure they could even play with Annie if I'd let her go to the hospital wing."

"So why don't you let her? She's just a kid, Mabs, and she loves them..."

"I can't."

"But... why?" She sighed.

"They're dying, Charlie..." her voice cracked. His brother's little smile vanished. "They're dying..." She whispered. "And I don't want Annie to be sadder than she is right now. I want her to remember her happy moments with mom and dad." Charlie quickly sat hurt in front of her and shook his head "I also want them to be happy in their last moments, Carl..." he looked at her "Because... I'm afraid their end is almost here."

To Be Continued.
