If it wasn't for her mother's request, Jocasta wouldn't have been in this sticky situation. It starts out as a normal day in the crystalline palace the young princess called home. She had awoken from a wonderful dream of her knight in shining armor. Or lack thereof. Anyway, she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and turned over to see that her younger sister was not curled up in her bed. Which was a strange sight indeed? That girl loved to sleep. Curious Jocasta went to look for her, still garbed in her pajamas. She ascended the stairway to be greeted by her father.
"Morning sweetie" her father said as he ruffled her hair a bit. Jocasta frowned and said "Where is Ruriko? ". Her father shrugged "Probably with your mother, I heard one of the maids say something about them being in the kitchen or something". She left her father to go see if it was true. Some of the maids greeted her on the way and fretted over her still being in her pajamas. She insisted that she was fine and was only going to be in the palace. She soon entered the lavish kitchen and was enticed by the smell of cinnamon and chocolate. There in the middle of the kitchen was her younger sister and mother, eating cookies. "Morning Honey" Her mother greeted her as she got up to hug her eldest daughter. Jocasta returned the hug "Morning Mama, what are you and Ruriko doing up so early? " she asked as she eyed her younger sibling who was stuffing cookie after another in her mouth. "Well I had a sudden craving for cinnamon and chocolate, and I couldn't decide on which to make. Ruriko helped with that as you can see." The queen smiled and handed Jocasta a freshly baked cookie. She denied the offer "No thank you mama, I'm not hungry."
Ruriko stuck her tongue out at her older sister and said "Suit you ". Jocasta rolled her eyes. Their mother suddenly shot up and said "Oh! I almost forgot. I have a political meeting with Rei-chan today. Oooh she's going to kill me if I'm late!" Usagi took the platter of cookies and placed them on the counter, away from Ruriko's reach. "Umm ...Jocasta! Can you watch your sister while I and your father are gone, we will only be out for a couple of hours .Thanks, bye?" Before Jocasta could answer her mother had already rushed out, leaving her with her younger sister. She sighed and looked over at Ruriko, who had cookie crumbs all over her face. "This is going to be a long day" She sighed.
