Ting, Ting
The café was full as usual, with the door opening and closing frequently.
It was no surprise he didn't look up when it opened again and that familiar, if not irritating, bell chimed for what seemed like the millionth time that morning.
It was only when he heard footsteps approach him and the chair beside him being drawn back that he decided to look around.
As he raised his head, caramel eyes, so gentle and peaceful, gazed back at him.
A girl with short, black hair smiled and held out a hand for him.
He accepted it and stood, hypnotized.
He laughed to himself, finding it amusing that although he was considerably taller and somewhat stronger looking then she, he quivered in awe and fear.
Her smile held as they shook hands and, suddenly he found himself smiling back, something he had not done in some time.
"I'm Alice." She stated in warm soprano voice.
The name seemed so familiar to him yet so foreign at the same time.
"Name's…" He began but was interrupted before being interrupted by a slight sigh.
"Jasper." She finished for him.
It was then, he realized what he would do next, what was his path in fate.
He turned slightly, still holding her hand, and both walked out the café door leaving the chiming bells behind.
