Phoenix Wright- Attorney at Best

This was his last chance. He had to prove himself as a lawyer. Prove he was better than Edgeworth, more competent. More deserving. But he couldn't do it.

"Edgey……..your claim is false, and my objection is so valid!" he yelled across the room.

"ORDER!" the judge yelled over the top of Edgeworth's new remark. "Continue, Miss May."

"Well, I was walking down the street when I saw Mr Edgeworth talking to this lady about some deal he was doing, then I followed him down the street towards his apartment on Western Avenue. He then brought the lady inside and that was all I saw of them that night."

"Mr Edgeworth, the body of this 'lady' was found in your apartment on the third floor. Was it not?" Phoenix said.

"Yes, it was, but it was not I who killed Miss Lotta Hart." Edgeworth answered curtly.

"I bet it was." Mia said softly.

"Like you say, Mia, don't give up. Justice will prevail." Maya whispered.

"Who is your suspect, Mr Edgeworth?" Phoenix continued.

"Mine?" Edgeworth laughed. "I have many a suspect, but one is the infamous Redd White."

"The claim on that is false, as Redd is in jail." Mia piped up.

"ORDER!" the judge said angrily.

"I call another witness for this heinous crime to the stand." Phoenix persisted. "I call Oldbag, the security at Global Studios."

"That isn't someone who witnessed the crime, Mr Wright." Edgeworth had him cornered.

"I know someone who did." Mr Wright smirked. "I call Larry Butz to the stand!"

Larry walked up, and took his place.

"We will now hear his testimony." The judge said testily.

"That you, your honor." Larry said. (Larry, what a silly name for a video game character.) "I walked into the room, as my job now include delivering iced coffee to backpackers, and saw a man holding a knife over a young lady with an afro, someone I was sure was Lotta. He saw a glimpse of me before I hid behind a cupboard, and I saw the entire thing. Her being stabbed, everything, but the one thing I didn't see was the man who killed her."

Phoenix was puzzled. Larry never lied…….not unless it was for his gain.
