Okay, so I felt like some poetry. Don't bite my head off if you don't like it, but ConCrit is aways fabulous. This is sort of free-verse, though it doesn't seem like it at first.

I Am So, So Sorry, Lily

I watched from afar
As you fell in love,
I watched from afar
As you broke my heart.

I watched from afar
As you had a son,
I watched from afar
As the Potter kid won.

I watched from afar
As you laughed and lived,
I watched from afar
As you spread your wings.

I could not spread my wings,
For though I saw you happy
I myself was not.

I would never be happy
Until my dying day;
I swore revenge upon the one
Who took you away.

I never wanted for you to die
I never wanted the light
To leave your eyes

It did, and with it, so did I
My heart, my soul has said goodbye
And now I am the shell of a man
The Dead Man walking, running, flying.

I will never have peace knowing
That what happened was my doing
But maybe, someday, you'll forgive me
For whisking you away.

I watched from afar
As you laughed and lived;
I watched from afar
As you died and fell.

I watched from afar
As they dug the grave
I watched from afar
A they lowered you in.

So peaceful you looked
Like you might be asleep
And I wished that you knew
For what was I weeping.

My Lily, my lovely Lily,
Believe me when I say
I am so, so sorry.

I never wanted to hurt you, Lily,
And now that I have
I cannot live.

I wish I could undo
The pain that I've caused you
But it's done now, and done it must be.

Hear me when I say that I am sorry,
For I live on the hope of your forgiveness.
I cannot go on without this hope,
Lily, your love is my only hope.

Consider it small payment
That I look out for your son.
It's the least I could do,
And when all is done…

He has your eyes,
Those vibrant emeralds
That I loved so much on you.

I remember you, Lily,
When I gaze upon him,
And I hate myself anew.

So believe me, Lily,
When I say,
That I am truly, deeply, sorry,
For whisking you away.
