There was once a love like few others, a love between a daiyoukai and a ningen girl. But like all great loves, it had to end.
A child was born to them, they named him InuYasha, but he never knew his father. You see, when he was a year old, a woman came to his mother. A woman who had been dead for years.
This woman told his mother a terrible secret. She was the lady Aline, the Lady of the West, his father's mate and the mother of his half brother.
Aline told his mother of what his father had done to his brother when he was only little. H had touched him and done bad things to him and when he cried his father would hit him and do the bad things again. You see Aline was not there to protect her baby.
InuYasha's mother was so angry and so sad. She did not want to believe that her kind and gentile Lord would do such a thing. Then one day his brother came home and his mother asked him if it was true. It made his brother angry that she knew and then it made him shake and cry. So now his mother knew what his father had done to his brother. Now she was scared, so she fled with her own baby. But when she could not hate her Lord she made herself sick. She was sick for five years and it made InuYasha sad. Then one day his mother died. He always blamed his brother and the Lady Aline for making his mother sad, but one should wonder what would happen if he knew the real reason why his mother had killed herself. Why she tried to hate his father and felt so guilty when she couldn't.
What he would do if he found out what his father had done to his brother, and could have done to him, if Aline had not interfered….
