This is just a short one-shot I wrote about Neil, because I'm in love with him.
Disclaimer: Class of the Titans, or anything associated with it is not mine. Although I like to pretend that Neil is mine. I'm in love with him.

They just didn't get it.
Jay, Theresa, Odie, Herry, Atlanta, and Archie; They didn't understand. How could they? Neil knew something that no one else in history understood. No one else except for Narcissus, of course. They others always looked at him funny or rolled their eyes when he pulled out his beautiful mirror to look at his even more beautiful self.
What they didn't know was that being that unbelievably gorgeous, completely flawless, was a lot of work. He had to wash his hair every single day, and shower twice a day. He had to style his hair in just the right way. He had to be extra careful when he shaved, too. How horrible would it be if he accidently cut himself shaving?
He also had to be careful about his sun intake. He had to stay out long enough to get the perfect tan, but he couldn't stay out too long or he would become too tan. It would look ridiculous if he was too tan, especially considering how light his hair was. Tanning booths, and tan sprays were not an option. He was all natural.
Then there were his teeth. He had to brush them an extra time every day, and he had to floss ever couple hours. Then he had to wear that disgusting retainer while he slept. Okay, so he didn't have to, but it was worth it if it meant he'd never have crooked teeth.
Don't even get him started on the cosmetics he needs to maintain his almost too handsome appearance. The deep exfoliating face wash, his worst nightmare was to get a zit. Thankfully, he'd never had one. He also needed countless hair treatments to keep his hair so soft, and manageable, and so beautifully blonde.
He wasn't even going to think about the posture exercises he did. It would do him no good to end up with one of those hideous hump backs. He cringed at the mere thought of having one of those! Then there was his yoga, and his meditation. The last thing he needed was grey hair from stress.
And again he couldn't frown, just thinking about frown lines made tears spring into his eyes. He was far too perfect to get premature wrinkles.
He also had to maintain all his hard work throughout the day. The others just didn't understand that looking this good was, in fact, hard work.
So Neil sighed into the mirror holding his wonderful reflection, and prepared for another day of work. He walked out of the bathroom and put his winning smile on his face, ready for all the jokes to come his way. He didn't mind them, it was all in good fun. He knew that, he teased them as well.
They just didn't understand the work he put into his day.
And so Neil sent one last long glance into a mirror in the hall way. He smiled at the exasperated looks at this.
They just didn't get it.
