"Should I or should I not?" Hermione asked herself. She frantically paced the Gryffindor common room. She had had it planned for weeks now. She would go to his office and just do it. She didn't care about the consequences. For the first time in her life she wasn't afraid of the outcome. That was a lie. She was scared to death. The thought of her ruining the relationship was like a nightmare. She wasn't ready to do this. She had to though. If she didn't they would remain the same way forever. Friends. She loved him. She had to do this even if she was afraid.
She quickly ran out of the common room. She passed Harry and Ron who tried to talk to her but she was on a roll now. She couldn't stop now until she reached his class room. She reached the third floor with ease. She swiftly came to the classroom door and opened to reveal and very surprised Remus Lupin. She quickly closed the door behind her and stared at the Professor.
"Hermione, are you alright?" asked a concerned Remus. He ran to her side and put his strong arms around her. He knew that his touching her was probably prohibited. It really didn't matter to the werewolf. His relationship with the 7th year and himself was surely prohibited. They didn't necessarily have a relationship. Neither of the two had ever come out and said it but there was that feeling that they both shared.
"I'm fine Remus," she managed to get out still panting. Remus cocked an eyebrow to this.
"Remus?" he laughed. "When did you start calling me Remus? Last time I checked you were fond of Professor Lupin," he smiled.
Hermione began to blush but stopped abruptly. "Listen. I came here to do something and then I'll leave," Remus nodded. "I need you to sit down please."
"What are you up to?" he laughed and sat down in one of the desk. Hermione stood there silent for a moment then began to sing.
"I was mighty blue," she quietly began.
"Thought my life was through," her voice cracked just a bit and Remus smiled.
'Til the heavens opened
"And I gazed at you," she looked deeply into Remus' eyes.
"Won't you tell me, dear," Remus laughed inside at the thought of her calling him dear.
Why, when you appear,
Something happens to me
"And the strangest feeling goes through me?" Hermione kept her head down, embarrassed. Remus got up from the chair and placed his hands on her hips. They started to slowly dance while she finished the song.

They swayed back and forth until she stopped singing. Remus looked into Hermione's eyes. She would not make contact with him.
"Hermione? Dear? Look at me," he asked with a laugh.
"I can't. I'm too embarrassed. I can't believe I did this," Remus swept a few strands of her hair away from her face.
"You did do it though. You had more courage than me to show your feelings. I love you so much, Hermione," he lowered his head to meat her eyes.
Hermione smiled sweetly and hesitantly stated," I love you too." They slowly leaned into each other and their lips met.
