Chapter 1
I walked along the beach, seeing a figure. Huh, maybe Kairi? I broke into a run, desperate to see her. There she was, sitting on the white sand, staring into the ocean, wearing her pink dress, her long red hair flowing in the wind.
"K-Kairi!" I panted, putting my hands on my knees. She laughed at my state, "Hey Sora!"
I smiled at her laugh. It was like chimes.
The truth is, I've liked Kairi for a long time, a looonnnnnggggg long time. But I've never told her. Why, you ask? Because I don't want to ruin our friendship. She might not like me. She could like Riku. My eyes narrowed at his name. Ugh, Riku. I you're wondering, He's gone a little loco; If you know what I mean.
"Twin…Sora?" Kairi broke into my thoughts. She calls me twin because I have a twin named Sora, and so we don't get mixed up.
"Sorry Kairi," I replied, looking down. "Thinking of Riku?" I nodded.
To my surprised, she kissed my cheek. "It'll be okay, Twin. He'll be back to normal before you know it!" Her enthusiasm cheered me up, and I blushed deeply.
"Yeah, I guess your right!" I smiled at her, and she smiled back. Maybe life without crazy Riku won't be so bad. At least, that's what I thought.
