Disclaimer: I wish I owned Doctor Who. But I don't.

Two minutes

"Pick a star- any star".

I rushed to the window, and scanned the dark night sky. There were so many stars to choose from. The sky looked so beautiful and sparkly- just like my new necklace. I fixed my eye on the brightest and most beautiful star in the galaxy. My star. The Doctor's star. Picking up my skirts, I rushed to pack a bag. My doctor had only given me two minutes.

The dainty bag was bulging with objects by the time I sat down by the fireplace. I had made up my mind not to pack many dresses, because that strange girl Rose didn't seem to wear much. Nor did that odd boy who always seemed to be with her. Or did the doctor, for that matter.

I glanced over at the clock on the mantelpiece. It had been one and three- quarter minutes since I had last seen my saviour. The seconds seem to turn into minutes, which seemed to be hours. Time does go slowly when you are waiting for a loved one. Three seconds before two minutes was up, my chest seemed to tighten. In three seconds I'm going to escape. I'm going to see my lonely angel again. I would be talking the fast path from now on.

3-2-1

"Doctor?" I say, "Hello?". I wait for another minute hoping, praying that he's delayed. Perhaps, the fireplace is stuck? Or he's met another monster and is fighting it to get to me. But as time goes by, I start to think horrible conclusions of why he isn't here. Has he met a monster that has resulted in his down fall? Or has he run off with that Rose and forgotten all about me?

Blind with panic, I slam myself against the fire place, Pushing and pulling every part of it I can. It remains stuck fast. "Doctor", I scream, banging against the fireplace. "Can you hear me Doctor?" Tired out and weeping, I sink slowly to the ground. "I love you", I murmur.
