Spring Flowers
Spring fever plagued the school, who would want to stay in when you could be outside in the sun? The flowers were in full bloom, the grass was as green as ever, flittering butterflies filled the air, and the weather was perfect.
When Nagisa got to her desk, she sighed, wanting to be outside instead of in a stuffy building. On her desk laid a folded up piece of pink paper with her name on it.
"What's this?" Nagisa picked it and looked around to make sure no one else was there. She read: 'Dear Nagisa-chan, spring is here and the roses are reborn again. I what to share a beautiful lunch with you at the near by park. Love Shizuma.' Nagisa blushed at the thought of going on a date with Shizuma. 'My first date. . .'
The bell rang for class to start, for Nagisa the lasted forever. She did not feel the need to learn math equations or read some boring novel. It was spring and on this beautiful that meant a date with Shizuma. Nagisa loved Shizuma a lot, and even if Shizuma could not write her a poem like Tamao could or take her horseback riding like Amane, Shizuma could still make Nagisa smile.
Once school ended, Nagisa walked out the classroom to find Shizuma waiting for her across the hall. "Etoile-sama?" Nagisa blushed. She never thought that Shizuma would wait outside her classroom for her.
"Nagisa-chan?" The Etoile smiled at her lover, "are you ready?"
Shizuma held out her pale hand. Nagisa smiled, nodded, and reached out for Shizuma's hand. She led Nagisa through a strangely empty hall to an exit. Shizuma pushed the heavy door open and they walked out into the sunny exterior of the outside world. The sun was high up in the air but the warmth it was emitting felt as though it was closer that day. There was no cloud in the sky and only a gentle breeze, the perfect weather for a first date. Nagisa was happy; she did not want to be anywhere else.
Shizuma leaned in close to Nagisa and kissed her on the cheek causing the petit girl to blush, "Shizuma?"
"Follow, I know of a place where no one will find us." The Etoile is very popular among the girls at school. If anyone else were to find them, Nagisa would the subject of their jealous rage.
They walked for at least an hour through the empty park and headed directly to a forgotten path. It was covered in grass and the flowers grew wild, uncontrolled by the park cleaning crew. The flowers surrounded and large blanket with a strawberry pattern on it. On the blanket laid a picnic basket, two plates, and a gift. The gift box was small, rectangular and wrapped in a shiny, heart print paper.
Shizuma reached for the box Nagisa was staring at, "I got this for you." She handed the bow to Nagisa with a smile.
"I-ii I don't know what to say," stuttering Nagisa opens her gift. Inside she finds a silver necklace with a heart dangling from it. On the heart is inscribed: "Aishiteru, Nagisa-chan"
Shizuma kisses Nagisa on the cheeks, causing her to blush even more. Nagisa was speechless but somehow Shizuma could tell what she wanted to say. . ."I love you too"
