Summary: Basically, It's the middle of COE. Ianto Tries To Help Jack Deal With Things.

Author Notes: So, I don't know why I wrote this but thought it was a good idea at the time haha. Enjoy =)

Disclaimer: I wish I owned Torchwood 'cause then I'd be all like "Hey, back off, Ianto belongs to me!" but I don't.

Jack stared at the papers in front of him, wishing they would start to make sense. He'd been engrossed in his work for hours. He jumped when he heard a knock at the door to his office. He smiled when Ianto walked in, a fresh steaming coffee mug in his hand.

"Are you okay?" He murmured.

"Not really." Jack admitted, not looking at Ianto.

Ianto placed the cup carefully on the desk and sat down next to Jack, "Talk to me."

"I'm...I'm worried."

"We're all worried."

"All the kids have just stopped Ianto. No explanations, just stopped."

"And we'll figure this out." Ianto assured him.

"I don't know this time."

"Jack," Ianto pulled Jack to face him, "I know you, you can do anything. You can live through anything, take people's breath away with a smile, barely age and drown people in those eyes." Ianto smirked, "And I know you can fix this."

Jack grinned, "You like my eyes?"

"Love them." Ianto looked away from Jack and nodded.

"And I take your breath away?"

"Everytime you smile."

Jack pulled Ianto forward for a deep but slow and soft kiss.

"How do you do that." Jack mumbled as they parted.

Ianto looked at him quizzically, "The trick is in the technique."

Jack chuckled and hit his arm lightly, "How do you manage to make everything seem fine on a day like today?"

"I might ask you the same question."

Jack sighed as he looked back at the papers on his desk, "I bet if Tosh were here, she'd know what to do."

"And no doubt, Owen would snark about it." Ianto added.

"I miss them."

Ianto rested his head on Jack's shoulder, "Me too. They didn't deserve to die like that."

"No one deserves to die like that. I don't want you to live forever but I want to grow old with you Yan." Jack's voice was a soft whisper.

"I'll give you my life. I'm sorry, I wish I could give you more."

"I don't need anything else for now."

Ianto chuckled and it was Jack's turn to look confused.

"Right pair we are. Everyone we've ever loved has died."

Ianto looked to the ground and Jack didn't miss the bitter edge to his voice.

"Hey," Jack got Ianto's attention, "I'm not going anywhere."

The Welshman grinned, "I know and you're stuck with me."

Jack smiled and hugged the younger man, "I think I can handle that."

Gwen walked in and smirked for a moment, "Jack, Ianto, we have new reports."

Jack stared at her expectantly, "Three more schools have gone into the same state, we have to do something fast." She stressed.

I know this is small and fairly pointless, but it crossed my mind while thinking of the newest (That I've seen) trailer for COE. Reviews will forever be in my heart =)
