Cotton Candy
Perhaps it was after the Eneies Lobby. Zoro became more caring towards Robin. He understood her past, which he felt really sorry for her. Perhaps if he was in her place, he would have lost his strength throughout the years.
It was during one afternoon, Robin was chatting with Chopper on the deck.
"You really love cotton candy, don't you? Mr. Doctor?"
"Yea….it is my favourite ever!"
"Well….when I was still a little child, I also hoped that I could go out with my mum, holding the cotton candy in my hands like the other children did…."
"Hummm…Robin?"
"Oh nothing! I am just saying that you look so cute with your cotton candy."
"Hahaha…even if you said so, it won't make me feel happy you baka!"
At the same time, Zoro heard the entire conversation, and he noticed the sadness behind Robin's words.
After 2 days, the Sunny Go arrived another island, where the people were having a celebration there.
"So let us divide into groups….Sanji with Franky, Usopp with Chopper, Zoro with Robin and me with the stupid….where's he?"
"Luffffffyyyyyyyy!" shouted Nami.
"Let's go Mr. Swordsman," smiled Robin.
When Zoro and Robin were walking along the streets, they could deeply feel the happy atmosphere of the people. There were a lot of beautifully decorated booths and all citizens were enjoying themselves.
And, Zoro found a booth selling cotton candy.
"Wait for me here, woman," said Zoro, running quickly towards that booth.
~After 20 minutes~
"Hey woman…"
"Where did you go Mr. Swordsman? Did you get lost?"
"Of course I didn't!"
Robin giggled slightly. "Fufufuf….I thought you..."
"Nevermind! Oi...this is for you." Zoro blushed.
"Well…this is…."
"Didn't you mentioned that you would like to have cotton candy holding in your hands when you were little? Although it is a bit late now…but still you can fulfill your childhood dream." Zoro said the last few words softly.
"Zoro…" Robin was deeply touched by Zoro, for paying attention to her, and remembering her little dream.
Seeing water floating in her eyes, Zoro instantly hugged her, while Robin sobbed on his shoulder.
"Robin….now you are not alone. You have us. You have me. We will always be there, protecting you and give you warmth."
On their way back to Sunny, Robin suddenly hold his arm, said softly, "Can I hold your arms like what I wished I could do to my mum now?"
Then, what she heard, perhaps was the warmest words she has ever wanted.
"If you want to…I can let you hold them forever."
