Searching
For a Friend
I always wanted a friend that I could lean on when I was sad.
I always wanted a friend that would stay by my side through thick and thin.
I always wanted a friend that could understand exactly how I feel when my life looked like it could not get any worse.
I always wanted a friend I could just talk to for hours and hours and they would not mind one bit.
However, I always really wanted a friend that would make me smile all the time and make me feel happy too.
So I searched and searched and searched, trying to find the friend I was always looking for . . . but I never found them.
I started to give up hope since I thought I would never find that special friend that I always wanted.
I began to cry on my bed while whispering, "I wish I had a friend . . . I wish I had the friend that I always wanted."
Then out of nowhere I heard a voice say, "Please stop crying, everything will be all right since I'm here now."
I look around my room looked for the person who had just spoken to me but I did not see anyone.
"Hello, who just said that?" I asked. I heard someone laugh and then say, "Me, silly!"
"I don't understand, where are you, I can't see you?" I said with a whimper. The voice laughed again and said, "Silly, look into your heart and then you will find me."
So I listened to the voice and looked into my heart. As I was in my heart, I looked around for the person who had spoken to me but I could not find them anywhere.
"Where could you be?" I thought and then I felt a tap on my shoulder. So I turned around and I saw the person who had been spoken to me.
"Yeah, you found me!" the person said as they hugged me. I hugged them back but then I asked, "But who are you exactly?"
They smiled a big smile and said, "Silly, I'm your imaginary friend, so now you can talk all the time about whatever you want to me because you and me are exactly the
same person so however you feel, I feel so I will be able to understand whatever problem you go through."
I couldn't believe, wow was it really true? Have I finally found my special friend that I had been looking for?
I went over to my imaginary friend and asked, "Will you be my best friend forever and ever?" My imaginary friend smiled and said, "Yes!"
I'm so happy because now I have found my friend, the one that will stay with me till the very end.
Now every single day, I always talk about everything with my imaginary friend
. . . Oh and by the way, her name is Marianne.

P.S: My imaginary friend's name is not Marianne, I just thought that it went with the poem, and actually my imaginary friend isn't even a girl so yeah . . . and you might say I'm a bit
old for one but then again, when your friends get annoying, who do you turn to but your imaginary friend.
P.P.S: OH! Forgot to tell you my imaginary friend's name . . . it is . . . you're so going to laugh at me but I don't care . . . (blushes like crazy) . . . Yami Yugi:)
