It was just sex. Two attractive adults, trying to dissipate the sexual tension between them.

As simple as that.

But it wasn't really.

'Cause just sex isn't supposed to make you feel like that; like you're whole. Like nothing could go wrong again.

Yet, when she dug her fingernails in his shoulder blades as he thrusted into her, it sure felt that way. His hand fisted in her hair, holding on to her like someone holding on for dear life.

He hated to admit it, butt with her it was different.

She doesn't know what is going on anymore. She feels submerged with emotions that surpass her usual attraction to him. Her skin trembles under his touch, his mouth never leaving hers. And he tastes sour, and sweet, and confusing. But somehow he tastes like home and she's trying not to think about it, but she can't. It doesn't help that he begs her to open her eyes and look into his as he fucked her. Scratch that. Made love to her. Because that's what she felt. Love.

They both collapse on the mattress, the heaviness of what's to come haunting them both.

"That was..."he trails, leaving kisses from here neck down to her collarbone as she moans.

"Different" she completes his sentence, and he looks at her deep in the eyes.

She does't know what she's saying until she hears her words.

"I could fall in love with you you know" she barely whispers, and he plays with a strand of her hair.

His heart constricts in his chest. He could too. But his words died in his throat. He kisses her softly, leaving a broken promise on her lips.

He held her tight all night, before slipping out of her bed with the morning sun.

A.N: Just a very short one shot about the other time, in referral to that scene where Harvey tells Donna "You once told me..." and she stops him.

Hope you enjoyed it, and let me know what you think
