Authors Notes: just a short fanfic for me to post as I havn't really posted anything in a while. Enjoy
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto
She was sobbing against a tree when she noticed the warm sun had disappeared and was replaced by a chilling wind. She didn't care she just wanted to be left alone, or so she thought. She heard a rustling in the bushes but made no attempt to get into a fighting position. She didn't care if it was a rouge ninja she felt as though she was ready to die.
He was running, running to find a comrade, running to find a friend, running to find the only person who mattered to him at this moment in time and probably forever. He stopped and leaned against a tree to catch his breath while he thought about where she could be. Thoughts from the past few hours filled the shinobe's head.
"Naruto Hinata has gone missing do you know where she is?" asked the hokage of the village several shinobe anxiously awaiting his answer.
"No why?" He asked feeling a little anxious himself.
"She has run off. She had an argument with her father..." She was cut off by Neji.
"Hiashi-sama told Hinata-sama that she was not to see you outside of her shinobe duties. I never disobey him but I will not stand by and watch Hinata-sama be more unhappy than she ever was. When he told her she was to stop seeing you she ran and cloaked her chakra as well. No one can find her. Kiba and Akamaru are searching the perimeter. I am going to assist him once I'm done here. Shino has his parasitic insects trying to track her but nothing is working. She seems to have disappeared."
The scene played over and over in Naruto's head. He and Hinata had only started dating and already it was causing problems. He then heard gentle sobs coming from behind the tree he was leaning on and moved around it slowly his guard raised slightly he was further away from the village than he expected.
She heard footsteps coming around the tree. She still didn't move. She didn't care who it was she was not going home if she could not see him.
"Hinata?" Naruto gasped sounding relieved that he had found her. "What are you doing out here? You'll catch a cold. C'mon let's get back everyone is so worried about you."
"No Naruto-kun I can't...My dad won't..." She trailed off. He knelt down beside her and wrapped his arms firmly around her waist and picked her up so that she was standing leaning against the tree. He put his right hand to the left of her and his left to the right so that she could not escape. He then glanced at the very timid kunoichi and lifted her chin with his left hand so that she was gazing into his deep ocean blue eyes.
"Hinata your father will never separate us nothing will. You can move in with me and you will never have to speak to him again but please come back to the village?"
She diverted her eyes to the ground. Naruto slid his left hand down her right arm and clasped her hand so that their fingers were intertwined. She studied their hands locked in each other's while he watched her intently. Slowly she looked up at him.
"Naruto-kun...I..." He cut her off by putting his finger over her lips using their hands that were intertwined. He lowered his head and kissed her forehead.
"I know...I love you too Hinata. Now let's get back alright?"
She nodded slightly. He then picked her up bridal style and carried her back to village his slow but steady pace caused Hinata to fall asleep in his arms.
Author's notes: This is the original fic so there won't be a chapter 2. I love this fic exactly the way it is and if I started editing it I'd probably ruin it so yeah please review.
