Aly's POV
It had all began the week after I had revealed my heritage to Dove and the remaining members of the Raka Alliance.
I was sitting in my study reviewing lists of guests that would be arriving for Dove's crowning and whether they would be bringing any spies with them, Of course I knew that my Father would be coming but that was a minor concern at the moment. I had never thought I would see a time that plans for my own wedding would take up most of my time and it just seemed, lately that Nawat was never around when the important decisions had to be made. It was times like this that I wished I was in Tortall instead of here.
Someone knocked on the door but Aly didn't bother to look up, she knew that it wouldn't be about anything important
'Aly?' Dove asked and came and sat down in the chair opposite. 'Is something wrong' she continued, 'no-one other than your pack has seen you at all in the last three days'
'NOTHING'S WRONG DOVE' Aly replied in a raised voice, then realising what she had done she quickly said 'I've just been caught up in the pile of work to be completed before your coronation guests arrive'
Dove looked at Aly suspiciously, 'Have you made any progress towards your wedding?'
Aly sighed, as usual Dove had found the problem straight away, Aly replied, 'You majesty, I'm sure your public and ministers have more important things to discuss with you, perhaps you should be doing that. Then I might be able to finish my work'
Dove sighed and stood up to leave, but first she asked, 'When was the last time you saw Nawat?'
Aly looked at her, her eyes showing nothing that she didn't want people to know, 'I saw him a week ago, I assume he is with his flock and cousins'
'I see' Dove said thoughtfully, 'Would you like Winna and I to help you with the wedding preparations'
'Maybe in a few days, but thanks you for offering'
Dove left soon after and Aly continued staring blankly at the papers in front of her, she sighed, as if she didn't have enough problems already with the coronation and the wedding, Now Dove was suspicious too.
Alianne stared out of the window. Where was Nawat and how long would it be before he came back?
Aly stood up straight and stared as the Tortallan Boat came into Dock. A week had passed and now she stood with Winna, Yoyox and Atisa. Aly had been chosen to officially greet the guests because of her background in Tortall.
The Tortallans moved towards the official party. Aly sighed and wished that Nawat was here. She then strode forward and greeted the guests. After the officials were dealt with she walked towards her family and said
'Hello Mother.
Okay that's it. Next chapter coming after Christmas
