Rain
Chapter 1
It came that time of the month when the Fullmetal alchemist, Edward Elric had to give his report on his research for the philosopher stone and his latest mission. He didn't like to report at all, he didn't even wanted to go to Central this time of the month because of Colonel Mustang who was in his office this time of day. As much as he hated the Colonel he was still waiting on train station, the train was nearly there and of course Edward wasn't happy about it, after all the only reason he was even going was because of his younger brother Alphonse who had to force him every singe time.
The train finally came. The Brothers got on stage, but it hardly can be said both of them were there, as Alphonse sat and looked at his brothers serious and cold look, Ed's eyes looking out of the window, his mind was completely elsewhere, thinking about something totally different. How many times have they gone on a mission to find the philosopher stone, how many have been turn out to be fake, how much more do they need to get through to find it, how long will they have to wait to get the chance to fix their mistakes. This thoughts were on the fifteen year old for whole hour now. It came to time when the voice of his younger brother called out to him. "Brother…?"The younger said multiple times to his brother, it seemed like he couldn't hear him but after a couple of time calling Edward finally spoke.
"What is it Al?" He asked.
"We are at Central! Come on !" Voice coming out of the hollow suit of armor filled the lurry.
The blond state alchemist jumped out of his seat straight out of the train. Alphonse looked at him as the older Elric's goofy smile finally showed up on his face as he said. "That was a close one, Thanks Al." The empty suit of armor did no reply, just nodded at him in a sense of consent. Than they continued their way to Central command. ~30 minutes time skip~ Once they were in front of the gate the young state alchemist started complaining as always. "Ah dang it."
Alphonse looked at him a little confused. "Something wrong Brother?"
"Course Al, I need to listen to the Colonel's lectures for hundred time now. If I need to listen to it again my head is going to explode." Edward moaned with a tired look on his face.
"Oh I am sure it is not that bad. Come on, let's go inside!" He replied as them both got inside, walking across the corridor to The Flame alchemist's office a young blonde haired women smiled at the Elrics. "Hello Edward, I see you come for your report." She said teasing the older Elric.
"Oh Lieutenant, wait if are here that means…" A tall black haired man with cold focused black eyes showed up behind the Lieutenant Hawkeye indemnified as Colonel Roy Mustang The Flame alchemist. The Colonel didn't even let Ed finish. "I have been expecting you Fullmetal" He said.
"Yeah, the Colonel. I hoped you got charged on a mission of some sort." Ed replied. "Well then I suppose you know where my office, I will be back shortly." Said the Flame alchemist with wicked smile. "Don't say the word!" Ed said as Mustang and Lieutenant Hawkeye got down the hall. Edward and Al got inside the office, Ed lied down on the couch to rest and clear his mind a bit as his brother sat beside the him. "Brother, what do you think is taking the Colonel so long?" The younger Elric asked out of curiosity. If he had run out of patients what can you say for Ed who was counting every minute so he can get out of this place faster. "Beats me, he is probably stuck in a mountain of paperwork, better been stuck there than here." Edward put his cold automail hand on his head. Al looked out of the window, a rain pouring down, gloomy, dark, awful, maybe that was the reason the two were down a little. "Hey Brother…?" Alphonse started shyly. Ed didn't answer right away, but what he did reply was just a nod saying " What's wrong Al?" or that was just what Alphonse heard." Back when we were on train, you were really deep mind into something, what were you thinking about?" He asked already known the answer.
" Huh? Why bring that up?" The blond alchemist, half lying down looked at his precious younger brother. " Well, you have never been down before so I was wondering?" Al replied. Ed didn't know how to react or what to say, all the thing he could say were only about philosopher stone. "Forget it, it was nothing." Alphonse looked down and continued with silence. Edward looked at him, sit up on the couch and tears the silence with a quick laugh and a smile.
"Let's go Al!" He said looking at his brother as if he was just going to amusement park, happy looking, smiling. "But Brother, you haven't give your report yet what if…!" Ed didn't let him finish, he did not care one bit for what the Colonel will say if he did not get his report in time. "I don't care, I'm not waiting one more second for that jerk! Come on, let's go." He now sounded angry. He thought that he would get his report tomorrow. But on the other hand, when he has his brother arguing getting out wasn't easy. "But, i-it is raining outside!" And there it is Al, again, trying everything to stop Edward from his stupid actions. " So what, I am not afraid of a little rain!" Ed is always stubborn, pretending to be always right, he would be lost without his brother which again he was too stubborn to admit. Edward turned around, opening the door, he knew if can't beat Al by words he can always act recklessly and rush thinks pulling him along no matter if he agreed or not.
"Come on Al!" He said and leaved running like a little kid. "Brother wait! Ugh come back here!" Alphonse followed him running.
