"Big bruder?" Lily yelled as she ran. "Big bruder?"

Vash stuck his head out of the kitchen.

"I'm over here."

Lily ran up to him, beaming with joy.

"Look!" She held up a white ball of fluff. "Santa brought it for me!"

Vash stared at the lump.

"What is it?"

"It's a bunny!"

Vash dropped the pan he was holding.

Lily watched him nervously.

"Big bruder?" Are you okay?"

"H-He brought you a bunny? Just one?"

He needed to have a talk with Finland.

Lily nodded.

"What's wrong?"

"Do you remember what I taught you about wild animals?"

"Ja. You said don't take them in and if you do to take more than one because they deserve to have friends."

Vash was shocked.

She had actually listened to him.

"So you do remember?"

She nodded.

"And so did Santa!"

"What?"

Lily grabbed his arm.

"Come look!"

She led him to her room.

Vash felt uncomfortable as he followed her.

He had never even seen the inside of her room.

Being the way he was, he let his little sister have her privacy.

Lily opened her door to reveal a complex system of tunnels in which several animals were running.

"Santa got me a bunny plus all this."

There was a mouse, a guinea pig, and a kitten.

Lily put the bunny down and it ran to join the others.

She turned to her brother.

"Can I keep them?"

Vash sighed.

"Yes."

Lily hugged him.

"Thank you so much big bruder!"

Vash pat her head awkwardly.

"Oh!" she said as he suddenly pulled back. "I have a present for you."

She went to her closet and uncovered a box.

"Here you go."

She handed it to him.

Vash took it and opened it to reveal a new pair of pajamas.

"Thank you," he said politely. "I have something for you too."

He led her outside to the small barn he had and opened the door.

Lily stared for a moment before tightly hugging Vash.

"Danke schön!"

"Y-You're welcome."

Lily walked into the barn slowly.

The two small horses didn't move.

She reached them and rubbed their noses gently.

"Thank you so much big bruder."

Vash nodded.

Lily stared at the two ponies for a few moments.

She put her hand on the bigger one and led it up to Vash.

"You can have this one big bruder."

"They're for you though."

"I know, but I don't think I need two ponies. Why you take the other? You can use it to get to Austria's house easier."

Vash blushed.

"T-Thank you."

He put a hand on the horse.

Lily smiled brightly and started petting the horse.

"Where did you get them?" she asked quietly.

"Poland. I said I would trade him skirts for them but he said I could just have them for free since they were for you."

Lily giggled.

"That was very nice of him."

Vash nodded.

"Frohe Feiertage."

Lily smiled brightly at him.

"Auch du."
