"Anna." The Queen stood outside her sister's door, tapping her foot impatiently. "Anna, are you awake?" The silence that answered her made it clear that once again the Princess had slept in, and on a fairly important occasion. Elsa sighed and opened the door slowly. Lo and behold, Anna was still fast asleep, curled up in a ball of blankets like a cat.
"Anna, wake up." Elsa sat on the edge of the bed and shook her sister gently. "You have to get dressed and look presentable today. We have a meeting with an important trade partner in an hour."
"S'not time. 'Nother five m'kay?" Anna mumbled and rolled over, tucking the covers tighter around herself.
"No, now. You were supposed to be up half an hour ago so you had time to eat. Remember the last time we met with the other kingdoms and you skipped breakfast? Everyone kept asking what that noise was." She stood up and shook her sister lightly again. "If you get up and get dressed now, I'll have the attendants send breakfast up. How does that sound?"
"Sounds like five more minutes of sleep." Anna rolled over and sat up groggily against the headboard. "Besides, it's cold and I don't want to get out of bed before I have to."
"Very well, Anna. If that's the way things are going to be, I guess I have no choice." In one swift move, Elsa grabbed the edge of the blankets, and whisked them off, laying them on a nearby chair. "Now you have to get up." She smirked.
"Oooh, Elsa, that's not fair!' Anna curled up into a tighter ball, trying to retain what little warmth she had left. "Just because you're used to the cold, doesn't mean I am." The Princess frowned at her sister, "Just for that, I'm definitely staying in bed."
Elsa grinned. "I bet you tonight's dessert that I can get you out of bed in less than a minute."
"Yeah? How?" Anna looked up and caught her sister's grin. "Oh no. No no no. Don't you dare, Elsa!" But before she had a chance to react, Elsa had grabbed Anna's bare feet with her icy hands, making the Princess skitter out of bed and onto the floor.
"Y-y'know it's not fair when you use your powers." Anna rummaged through the closet, searching for a clean dress.
"Well it's not fair that I have to explain to our trade partners why the Princess and the Queen were late to the meeting." Elsa crossed her arms, and gave her sister a stern look. "Besides, at least now you're alert and I won't have to keep prodding you so you stay awake."
Anna emerged from the dressing room, looking presentable, and grinned at Elsa. "So. Can I have your dessert anyways? Since you kinda cheated?"
"Using my powers isn't cheating, it's strategy." Elsa laughed, and made her way to the door. "But yes, you may, only because I love you. And remember, I need you to take this meeting seriously."
Anna hugged her sister around the shoulders as they walked out of the room and towards the main hall. "I know, I know. I'll behave."
Just as the pair were walking into the hall, Anna piped up.
"Do you think they'd notice if I snuck in a few pastries from the kitchen?"
