Warped Realities

A.n. This story will be a crossover with Firefly, multiple final fantasy games and a couple other things.
Prologue
Deep underground in a lab on a planet simply called alpha, a man with graying hair stood in front of a panel made up of five militarily dressed men. "Doctor Craner." The man siting at the middle of the table said. "You have called us here to see an invention you have been working on for the past 6 years, correct?"
The gray haired man, now known as Doc. Craner, nodded his head quickly. "As you said, I have been working on this project for around 6 years." Craner walked over to a cloth-covered object. "And this is what I created."
He quickly pulled the cloth off the object. " I call it Red X. Its funny how I got the name, you see I was play an old game and one of the characters." "Doctor, we are here to see the prototype, not listen to you rabble." The leader of the five men sneered out in disgust. "Quite right. Well its basic abilities are the fact it is a nano-colony controlled and limited by a basic A.I. No need to let them know I upgraded the A.I. to as close to true intelligence as I could without their permission. stopping it from going out of control. It is also programmed with simple loyalty programs."
The five gentlemen coughassholescough began to walk around Red X. "How much can it change its shape?" the leader asked. Craner quickly replied. "The wolf form you see before is its default form. It can change into just about any form you can imagine within the limits inscribed within the A.I." "And how far are these limits?" "Oh, around 20x its current size." "How about the red color, does that change too?" The Doctor sighed. These questions were getting annoying. "Yes, yes. Just like its form, this is but the default and can be changed to any color except for yellow or pink." The five frowned. "Why those colors?" "Because they are disgusting colors and would look horrendous on my creation." He completely ignored the fact that the flags on their uniforms were mostly yellow.
"Well Doctor Craner, this has been very enlightening." All five pulled out a weapon and shot him. As Red X saw its creator fall to the ground its passive sensors jumped to active. Quickly scanning the Doctor it realized he was dead. Looking up X saw the five who had killed its creator, master and father were looting the lab of every thing they could. Silently slipping over to the main computer, Red interfaced with it and initiated a complete lockdown before starting up the self-destruct the Doctor had added just in case.
Moving with all the speed of a cheetah on speed Red X managed to get to another of the late doctors experiments. Booting up the control computer and downloading the programs inside took longer then it would have liked, but it managed it. Going up to the small device simply called the DT, which stood for dimensional Transporter. It was small and only meant to teleport small things, but it would due for X's need. Absorbing it took up even more time, and countdown was quickly running down. It managed to activate the control programs and activate the device just in time to hear the counter reach zero.
