100 words. My first E/O drabble. Enjoy!
It's dark. Not a rare sight. Walking around like a blind man; other senses more aware.
Then there's a shuffle. And a scream, "Help Me!". The voice echoes - It's a female. Her voice hoarse.
They follow the desperate yell. It leads them; they find her. Terrified. Tears glistening in the moonlight. Blood weeping bright red. Like no control. She whispers, "Thank you".
There's a noise. They turn. A dark shadow emerges.
It looks like them; like a human. But they know it's not. So he raises and fires.
They hide. It cries. Eyes wide. Then dies.
A life saved.
