Chapter 1

Mia woke-up , ready to set to all her everyday duties as a princess , when suddenly her nana entered the room and had a huge beaming smile on her face! ' Today's the day!' she said with joy , ' What?' said princess Mia in utter confusion,

'Well the day you get given the chest'.

' What chest?'

' Don't tell me I forgot to mention it'. Mia nodded. ' The chest that has been passed down to every single princess of Genovia , the day just before their 19th birthday!'

' Look I'm not trying to be rude nana' Mia said trying to sound polite , and proper , ' But don't you think it's a bit silly I mean what's the point!' she said bursting into a manic fit of laughter. ' Well princess , it was owned by Princess Belle , who tragically died , but she left this box , and it's there to represent what a wonderful Princess she was . You know just before she died , she made sure that all princesses to come would have something to remember her by , and this chest is it'. Mia was silent which wasn't usual for her ' right so what happens?' . Nana explained that there would be small dinner party in remembrance of the wonderful Princess.

Mia was In her room , changing for the dinner when she heard a slight tapping at the window , she ignored it thinking it was rain or something. The next time the tapping was louder , much louder , actually so much louder that it took Mia's breath away , and this time she had to see what was causing it. She pulled back her curtain to see a gaunt pale face , with tears rolling down it's eyes , she was pushing really had at the window , Mia could see this was hurting her , by the pain- struck look on her face. Now Mia had a big decision to make , should she open the door or not? She didn't have long to think about it her Nana or anyone else for that matter could be climbing up the palace stairs any minute now. So she let the girl in.
