A New World
Chapter 5
I felt so awesome walking out of the building! Wasnt Arthur just ANGRY! I laughed so hard, I hadnt felt this great in while. Hercules smiled, a little sandy brown cat white speckles crawled upon his head. I went to grab the kitten, and it mewled so softly I could barely here it, It reminded me of me. Weak, brown and cute. Hercules grabbed a dark brown one with white paws from his back, So many damn cats, I thought.
He held up the kitty, and I held up Isis-Neko.
Hercules and Isis! We both smiled and walked towards his mothers graveyard to hang out at.
The fog was lying low beneath our feet, and I felt as If I could touch it. I knelt down, feeling the cold. Isis-Neko ran off, to play with Hercules-Neko. I went to go see where they were headed, Hercules had already drifted to sleep.
A big, black cat was heading into the fog. He was large, and lean no doubt he wasnt a fighting tom-cat. I walked slowly towards the cats, and the tom had already met with my kittens.
I dont think this kitten belonged to Hercules, this cat was large and intimidating. The cat sniffed at Hercules-Neko, growling. Hercules-Neko growled and scratched his head, and all hell broke loose. I ran in to grab Hercules-Neko, but he ran away. The tom sat down, and stared up at me.
Arent kittens supposed to be cute? This cat scared me, and sent chills through my small frame. I grabbed Isis-Neko by her scruff, and looked into her eyes. She looked like
She had seen Rome-Neko, a ghost of my past. I set her down and began to pick up stones to throw at the tom, but he was gone. Gone like my sanity. Did I really just see that?
Hercules!
I heard a snore, there was no way he was going to wake up. I left, having Isis-Neko follow me, but she seemed hollow, the poor kitten. As if the tom sucked her very kitten soul.
I started to walk out of the silent graveyard, and I heard a kitten wail. I turned to Isis-Neko, she was fine. But she was poking at a kittens dead and cold body.
Hercules-Neko?
I blinked twice, and Isis Neko was sitting down watching me, and the body was gone.
