"Rose Tyler I-"

Then the connection severed.

That was it.

He had missed the only opportunity he had, she had done her part...Why couldn't he have done his? If he had just spoken a bit quicker he would have been able to tell her how he really felt about her, but it was never that easy. Perhaps it was better that he hadn't said anything, what would either of them have gained from it? Nothing more than three more broken hearts. When she said that she loved him he nearly ripped through the universe itself, damn the consequences, just to hold her.

Anyways, he could never have her. No, not only that, he didn't deserve her. He was a monster, he had destroyed whole civilizations. His heart was dirty with all it's original purity gone, she was all pink and yellow with a bubbly smile, and a pure soul. Plus, she was only human. He would have to watch her wither and die while he kept on living, but Rose Tyler wasn't only human was she? She was the Bad Wolf, for a short moment of time she held the Time Vortex inside of herself, and saved everybody. Rose Tyler was definitely more than just a human, she was clever, witty, beautiful, and most importantly she was his. Not anymore though, she's stuck in a parallel universe because of him. He could never have the life he dreamed about with her. She was gone.

And as he was standing completely alone in a dark Tardis he spoke, if only just to he hear him say it, five little words.

"Rose Tyler, I love you."
