Notes: It's only short, but all I want to do is write today. Beats revision anyway.

She ended with a drop kick, aimed directly at his head, sending the young cop flying into the wall, and watched without emotion as a stream of blood issued from his left ear. A short groan escaped his lips before he fell unconscious. The street stood still, a messy array of sprawled bodies, littering the road.

Her surroundings disintegrated around her, melting into a plain white eternity. Trinity flipped out her cell phone.

"Nice work, Trinity! You're on a roll today!" Link's voice snapped her back to reality. It was so easy to fall back into the illusion of the Matrix. "You want another simulation, or you ready for a break?"

"I have a favour to ask, Link," she smiled to herself, half-laughing as she said it. "Send Neo in. He has a promise to fulfil. Ask him where I want us to be. Then you and Morpheus can clear off, away from those screens."

"I don't wanna know what you two got planned," he returned, shaking his head with a smile.

"Don't worry, it's clean," she replied rolling her eyes. She shut the phone and a second later The One materialised beside her, their surroundings liquefying, being replaced by a city scene, blanketed by a night sky.

His features split into an elated grin upon seeing her, and knowing what she wanted, without a word, he pulled her to him, gathering her up in his arms, and arching his body, took flight.

The pair flew headlong into the night sky, floating through wispy clouds, their bodies silhouetted against the moon. It was a picture of perfection. For a while, they simply flew in silence, neither wanting to speak and shatter the feeling. After an eternity of bliss, he slowed, and hovered, staring directly into her eyes.

"This is all a bit soppy for us, Neo," she smirked, but he could tell she was enjoying it nonetheless. He was used to her hard-ass image, and he knew that emotional eloquence would only embarrass both of them.

"I believe I must be the God of Romance," he stated sarcastically. "How many women can say they've been shown the stars at night, and have literally been swept off their feet?"

"I believe all this business with being 'The One' has gone to your head- you believe you're a God now?" They were both grinning like teenagers. They shared a long, passionate kiss, mid air, as Neo slowly lowered them to a rooftop. Pulling apart, she held on to hands.

"Now you've carried out one promise, I need another to hold you to. Promise me you'll teach me to fly?"

"One day, Trin."
