What If?:

"Aaaahh!" screamed Zala "p-please don't hurt me"

she backed away from her attacker silently cursing herself for going anywhere near a dark alleyway at night, especially in New York.

"Hey leave 'er alone!" snapped a gruff voice with a Brooklyn accent as four shadows swooped down from the rooftops landing on the mugger

"yeah don't you know its not nice to steal stuff from strangers?" asked another voice in a Californian drawl.

There was a flash of metal and the mugger sank to the filthy concrete unconscious.

"You ok ma'am?" asked a new voice. This voice was not quite as distinctive as the other two but it had an underlying authority to it that commanded respect.

"Yes thank you" Zala replied gratefully as he offered her his hand to help her up. "You saved my life. I'm very gr-" she broke off with a gasp when she saw her rescuers hand.

It was pink and soft and had.. She squinted yes he...no it had five fingers

no this wasnt possible.

She took a closer look at the four teenaged boys in front of her.

Standing right in front of her were three giant bipedal humans.

she didnt even think that was possible.

She stared at them in disgust and fear.

Their heads were a weird shape, They had small noses instead of beaks and they had hair growing on their faces and on top of their heads.

She shivered in revulsion and automatically drew her shawl tighter around her shell.

The contrast between these creatures soft pink skin and her own leathery green skin was amazing. she didnt see how these giant humans could cope with no shell and such delicate skin. it seemed like it would be very simple to hurt them.

"Hey you okay?" asked a gentle voice in concern taking a step towards her.

She backed away quickly from this new voice

"st-stay away from me!" she stammered lurching to her feet.

She noticed that it looked like each of the strange creatures was wearing a loose shirt, a pair of pants and a coloured mask (although they each had a different color on) they also seemed to each have weapons.

"Oh my God" she cried out as she ran as far as she could from the disgusting things.

"I hate it when dey do dat" grumbled Raph as the woman ran away "ya would t'ink she'd be a little more grateful dat we saved her sorry shell"

"can you really blame her Raph?" asked Donnie as he expertly tied up the mugger "we do look very odd. Most turtles just cant handle other people being different"

"come on guys" Leo sighed "its almost dawn we should be getting back to the lair"

"yeah" Mikey taunted as Leo lifted a manhole cover and jumped down "we don't want Raphie here to scare people"

"ill show ya scared" growled Raph chasing his younger brother into the sewers.

He stopped for a minute and poked his head back into the fresh air

"I just wish they could accept us for what we are" he whispered to himself "it ain't fair to shun us and make us outcasts, just cause we're a little different"

sooooo?

good? bad? ok?

please review and tell me what you think!

this is just an idea that suddenly came to me...

What If Turtles were the in control/sentient species on the planet and it was weird to be a giant human?

(i guess techinically this is a human AU which i normally hate since whats the point in writing about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles if they are not Mutant Turtles but this still has their struggle to survive in an unfriendly world just cause they are a little different so i hope its ok)

this is just a oneshot unless you guys really like this. then i might do a little more *shrug* i don't know maybe them meeting April as a turtle or something?

(note:set in 2003-2009 universe (kinda) like all my storys)

hope this made you think!
