An elderly woman walked towards an old grave. She brought some colorful roses with her. "It's been a long time, dear. I'm fine, still missing you. Oh, why did you have to go, Freddie? I told you not to join the mission! I object, until now, that you went! Didn't you think that whenever you go away it's like a piece of me missing? I just… miss you. I love you, Dearest Freddie." The old woman spoke. It's been decades since Freddie died. Freddie was her everything. He was also a part of the army and after an attack, he died, saving other soldiers' lives.

The old woman slowly walked away, leaving the roses on the grave. After a while, she merely disappeared from the view.

Sam, rocking on her old chair alone, was reminiscing her times with Freddie. Freddie left, exactly forty years from now. No one was present, except for her in the old house she used to live in with her family. Their only daughter, Darcy have been married. She already left. Sam's perfect life was over, years ago.

They were 20 when they married. Others say that they were foolish, young and naïve, but they were wrong. Sam and Freddie stood strong, facing challenges together.

"Here, Sam. This is a bracelet that you should wear always, especially when I'm away. So that you'll know that I'm always here for you… Always." A 20-year-old Freddie said. He was leaving. They were sent on a mission for the army. "But I don't want you to leave!" Sam sobbed but Freddie just held her close. "I promise, I'm coming back." Freddie smiled and kissed her full of love. He disappeared after, but he came back…

"No! This can't be Freddie! It's not! He's alive! He's not dead! NO!" Sam screamed. She was breaking. Sam was just 29 when Freddie left for good. She held the bracelet he gave her and hugged it close while her eyes were glistening with tears. She looked like a mess, but to Freddie, she looked beautiful… If only he was here.

Now, a seventy year old Sam looked at her bracelet. She smiled and a tear dropped. She whispered, "I'm coming home, baby. I love you." Before she took her last breath.

Little did she know that her now grown Darcy was watching her from the window, "It's been a long time. Now, they're together again. Happy. I love you, Mom. I love you, Dad. Forever." And she called the funeral home.

Their life wasn't perfect, but together, they perfected each other.
