It's a date
Takumi oneshot
Everyone is 15 years old except Tommy who is 12 and Jp who is 16.
After admitting his feeling Takuya asked Zoe out on a date.
Zoe accepted it and admitted her feelings as well after hiding it for 4 long years.
Kanbara residence
Takuya was busy searching for the things he could need for his date. He made sure to take enough money with him. He was wearing blue jeans, white t-shirt under a red hooded jacket and had a new goggle around his neck.
He checked the time and found it to be 1:55. He had told Zoe that he could meet her in the park at 2; it takes at least 15 minutes to reach the park from his house.
"Oh man! I am gonna be late on my first date with Zoe!" moaned Takuya."Zoe is gonna be really mad."
He ran to the door; put on his sneakers and made his way to the park.
Park
Zoe was walking to the park, all alone. She was near to the gate when she checked the time. It was 1:57 and she was soon by three minutes. She was wearing white jeans, pink sweatshirt with her favorite white coat and a beautiful pink hat which had flowers in its sides.
"I hope Takuya is not late." thought Zoe.
Unknown to her the other guys were already in the park to spy on Takuya and Zoe on their first date. They were also thinking about the same thing as Zoe.
"I really hope Takuya is on time for his first date "said Koji.
"Why do you worry Koji?"asked his twin.
"Cause I don't want my best friend to get into some stupid trouble on his first date itself "replied Koji.
"Koji you really do have a heart." said Tommy
"As if I didn't have one." said Koji confused
Everyone laughed at it but stopped when they saw Zoe sitting on a bench near their hiding place.
"You guys would have blown our cover there." whispered Koji
"Sorry." they replied in unison.
Zoe checked her watch and it was 15 minutes past 2 and she was annoyed now. Its fifteen minutes past the meeting time. When she looked up she saw Takuya running past the gate panting. He stopped running when he saw Zoe.
"Sorry, I'm late. There was a traffic jam near the station."Takuya gave an excuse.
Zoe looked away and then stood up."It's not good to make a girl wait!" she yelled at his face.
"Yeah, I know and that to on the first date, I'm sorry." apologized Takuya.
"Apology accepted."Zoe said happily.
"You look good." said Takuya.
"Even you look good." said Zoe.
"Where do you want to go?"asked Takuya.
The other boys hiding near the bench were looking keenly at the scene that unfolded before them, taking pictures without the couple noticing them.
"Can we go to the mall, downtown?"asked Zoe "I love to hang out in the mall."
"Sure, whatever you wish, Zo."said Takuya.
They started to walk to the mall that Zoe wanted to go. The others were following them without being noticed. (At least that's what they thought)
Mall
They reached the mall and were now at its entrance
"WOW, it's huge!"said Takuya astonished.
"I always come here with my friend to hangout."said Zoe.
"You have a good taste Zoe." said Takuya
"Thanks, now that we have come here…Takuya you choose where you want to go." said Zoe.
The others were now frozen and their jaws dropped seeing the size of the mall.
Jp broke it and spoke "Guys if we are here any longer we will lose them." Everyone nodded.
Takuya was still choosing where to go even after Zoe gave him the map of the mall.
"Taku have you made your choice? "asked Zoe.
"No, I'm bad in making choices."Takuya said and handed over the map to Zoe "Here, you choose where you want to go."
Zoe took the map and took a glance at it and asked "Can we go to the movies?"
"Sure" said Takuya.
They went to the theater in the third floor. They chose the movie 'CONJURING'. They bought the tickets and snacks and entered the movie hall.
Zoe was clinging onto Takuya throughout the movie while Takuya was blushing. The frontier guys took a lot of pictures during these events. The movie was over and Zoe was still clinging on Takuya.
Then Zoe spoke up "That was really scary, I will never ever go to a horror movie again."She looked up to see Takuya and saw he was blushing. Finally she realized that she was clinging on Takuya and let go blushing
"I'm sorry. "she said and Takuya said "It's okay."
"Where else do you want to go?"asked Takuya breaking the awkward silence .
"I chose the movie now it's your turn to choose." said Zoe.
"What about the arcade? You will like it if you come." said Takuya glancing at the map.
"Sure, why not?"said Zoe.
They went to the arcade. They played a lot of games and Zoe loved them all. Takuya won a soft, stuffed bunny in the game 'hit the target' which he gave to Zoe. It earned a kiss on his cheek.
"Thank you so much Takuya, it looks great."
"Aw…it's nothing, anything for you princess." Zoe blushed at the nickname Takuya just gave her.
"Hey Taku can we go somewhere else like the shopping centre."
"Sure." With that said they went to the shopping centre right next to the arcade.
The other guys were watching keenly at them while they were playing
. Koji got irritated when Jp called him.
"WHAT!?"he yelled.
"Did u see Tommy and Koichi." asked Jp.
"They were here a few seconds ago." said Koji getting worried.
"They are not here now." said Jp.
"Come on we have to find them before we all land into trouble." said Koji and came out of their hiding to search for the Tommy and Koichi.
It was not hard to find them. There was large crowd in a place watching how cool the kids were playing. Jp and Koji squeezed themselves in and found Koichi and Tommy playing there. They ran towards them and told them "what are you guys doing here; we came to spy not to play if Takuya or Zoe see us we are toast." The other two simply nodded and followed Koji's lead.
They found that the couple had already left and ran out of the arcade only to bump into two people and fall to the ground.
Takuya and Zoe were just looking around the shop. There were a lot of things like clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. Takuya was really amazed.
"Zo this is the best mall I have ever been too. It has everything!"
"I am glad you like it"
Takuya smiled."I want to get you something come on." He walked to a jewelry dragging a protesting Zoe.
"Takuya, you don't have to get anything for me, you already gave me a stuffed doll."
"I did not buy that I won that."
"But Taku-"
"No buts."
"fine." huffed Zoe.
Takuya let Zoe's hand go and looked around for something beautiful. He looked around for some time with Zoe following him before his eyes fell on a necklace.
"Zo do you like this?" asked Takuya as he turned to face her.
Zoe's eyes widened when she saw what Takuya held. "Takuya…it's BEAUTIFUL!"she exclaimed. It was a gold colored chain with a beautiful lavender butterfly locket with red designs.
"Then that's it lets go to the counter."
"But Taku it will be costly."
"I said no buts come on." said Takuya heading to the counter. "I like to buy this." he said to the lady in the counter.
"That would be a thousand yen and because of the festive season we give discount so it costs 750 yen." said the lady.
"Here" said Takuya as he gave the money and bought the necklace.
"Thank you. Come again." said the lady as Takuya and Zoe left the shop.
"Takuya you didn't have to spend so much for me."
"Who will I spend the money on other than my girlfriend." Zoe blushed hearing the word she wanted to hear from Takuya for so long.
"Takuya…"
"What? Am I not your boyfriend?" Zoe nodded still blushing. They looked at each other in the eye and closed them as they leaned in. When their lips were about to press Zoe's stomach growled and she turned away blushing (again).
"Guess you're hungry. Let's go and get something to eat. " said Takuya as he smiled. Zoe just nodded embarrassed.
"Give the necklace I'll help you put it on." said Takuya. Zoe gave him the necklace and turned. Takuya took the necklace from the box and pushed Zoe's hair forward putting it around her neck.
"There" he said after he put the hook. Zoe turned around to face him and smiled.
"Thanks Taku."
"It looks more beautiful on you." he said as he gave his signature smile.
"Come on. Let's go to McDonalds. It's on the other side of the arcade." said Takuya as he glanced in the map.
"Sure"
They were heading to McDonalds when four people bumped into them and fell down. Takuya and Zoe immediately recognized them and looked and each other and smiled. Takuya held out his hand to help the person right in front of him. That person thanked him and turned back to help someone who looked exactly like him. Takuya and Zoe giggled when Koji thanked them.
"Huh?" Koji looked up confused when they giggled and froze." Hey guys, what are you doing here?" he asked acting dumb.
"We are on a date Koji." replied Takuya with a chuckle.
"Well…What are you guys doing here?" asked Zoe.
Koji froze again and Koichi answered "We came here to play in the arcade you see." and turned his head towards the arcade.
"We were heading to McDonalds; you can come with us too." said Takuya.
"Sure!"yelled Jp
"Jp! Well if you don't mind." said Tommy.
"Of course we don't." said the couple in unison. With that they made their way to McDonalds.
"Zoe, where did you get that necklace?"asked Koichi "It's beautiful."
"You think it's beautiful...Takuya bought it for me." said Zoe.
"It's so sweet of you Takuya." said Jp. (He came over his crush)
"Nah, it's just a gift for my dear one." said Takuya
They reached McDonald and ordered what they wanted. It took time for their order to get ready so they took a seat and started to talk.
Out of blue Takuya asked "What were you guys doing from the morning?"
Everyone froze not knowing what to tell and finally Tommy answered "We were in the arcade from morning."
'Oh' was all Takuya said.
Soon they got what they had ordered. Takuya and Tommy had ordered cheese burger, Koji and Koichi -veg burger, Zoe – chicken nuggets and last but not the least Jp – double cheese burger. Along with what they ordered, they got fries and cola. They were talking about different movies that were released latestly. They finished eating and left the mall.
"I think we should leave now, sorry guys" said Koji looking at his watch "Mom told me to come home by 6 but it's already 6:30."
"I thought we can go and see the fireworks together near the river bank." said Takuya in a sad tone.
"OH! I wanna see the fireworks!" said Tommy "Please come with us Koji…please…" said Tommy showing puppy dog eyes.
"But" started Koji but Zoe interrupted "Come on Koji you can call your mom and tell her you will be coming late."
"Yeah bro she's got a point" said Koichi.
"Fine" Koji finally gave in.
He went to a telephone booth and called his mother.
"What did she say." asked Jp as soon as Koji returned.
"She told fine but to come back at 7:30." said Koji.
They were walking to the river bank and reached there; it was a 15 minutes' walk.
"We made it; the fireworks can start in any minute now." said Takuya.
They started talking intently that they got scared when they heard the burst of crackers. They looked up at the sky, enjoying the beautiful colors dancing in them.
Takuya and Zoe moved closer to each other. Zoe held on to Takuya's arms and rested her head on his shoulder. Then she looked up right into his eyes. Both of them closed their eyes and leaned in until their lips met. Takuya kissed her passionately and Zoe returned it. She had her hands around his neck while he had his around her waist. They pulled apart after few seconds.
"Wow!" said Tommy still enjoying the fireworks.
"This is the best day ever in my life!"said Zoe facing Takuya.
"I'm glad you enjoyed." said Takuya "Yeah, by the way; before I forget; Koji can I have the photos after you print them. I'm glad you bought your camera, I forgot mine" finished Takuya
"What do you mean!?" asked Koichi
"You thought we didn't know you were spying on us?" asked Zoe.
"What!?" said everyone in unison.
"We knew it from the beginning."said Takuya acting smart.
Flashback
While heading to the mall, Zoe felt like someone was following them.
"Hey Takuya, I think someone is following us."
"Huh?" Takuya turned around and saw four guys ducking in a bush.
"I knew it!" exclaimed Takuya but only Zoe heard him.
"What is it?"
"The other guys are following us." said Takuya.
"Are you sure?"
"One hundred percent sure." Takuya nodded "They have been following us since the day they knew I loved you."
"How dare they spy on us!" fumed Zoe. "I gonna give them a piece of my mind." Zoe turned to head towards them but Takuya stopped her.
"What is it Takuya? I am gonna pour my wrath on them."
"Don't, I have a different plan."
"Hmm…"
"We'll catch them red handed."
"Now that's a plan!" they high-fived and continued to the mall.
End of flashback(Well Takuya and Zoe didn't tell it to the rest of the guys it's just for you guys to know)
"But How!?" asked Koji.
Takuya and Zoe looked at each other and said "It's a secret!" before running away laughing holding each other's hand, leaving the others confused.
