Dream of Me
After finishing their dinner, they rolled out their sleeping bags and prepared for bed. Aang and Sokka found sleep easily that night, within minutes they were snoring away to dreamland. Sleep, on the other hand, was elusive for Katara. She found herself sitting up and back against a tree. She watched the campfire and found it soothing but still, she could not sleep. Moments later, she was humming a soft melody to herself. She couldn't really remember where she heard the tune but she found it alluring. She closed her eyes and sang softly, allowing the breeze to carry off her voice.
Let me sleep
For when I sleep I dream that you are here
You are mine
And all my fears are left behind
I float on air
The nightingale sings gentle lullabies
So let me close my eyes…
And sleep perchance to dream
So I can see the face I long to touch, to kiss
But only dreams can bring me this…
On a ship not far from the Avatar's campsite, the young Prince awoke with a start. He heard the gentle voice being carried by the wind and listened to it intently. He recognized the voice as Katara's, the avatar's female companion. Zuko stepped out to the deck, leaned on the railing and listened to Katara.
So let the moon
Shine softly on the boy I long to see
And maybe when he dreams,
He'll dream of me…
Katara had imagined Zuko before her, just like the time she got caught by the pirates, and when they left Bato to accompany Aang. Zuko's gentle face that was tainted by his own father, she felt hot tears flow from her cheek as she continued to sing.

I'll dream away…
Zuko saw Katara's beautiful face in the reflection of the moon. He wanted to go to her, to hold her and tell her how much he loved her. He wanted to tell her how much he needs and wants to be with her. But he can't, he didn't know where they were. He can roam the whole world, but there's little chance he can find her. His crew lost track of the Avatar weeks ago, they could be anywhere by now.

After finishing the song, Katara laid back down on her sleeping bag and stared at the campsite. This time, sleep did not elude her, she fell asleep moments later. Dreaming that someday, when the war is finally over, Zuko can finally live happily and probably, with her by his side.
Zuko strode back to his room and lulled himself to sleep by memories, wishes and dreams of Katara. Dreams, that someday, when the war is over, he'll rule his country peacefully and hopefully, with Katara by his side as the Fire Lady.
