Midoriya

"Come on Deku, or we're going to be late" Uraraka called back at me cheerfully from the path up ahead, before she hurried on to join the others. We were throwing a little surprise birthday celebration for Tokoyami's birthday tonight after dinner so a small group of us had gone off campus to pick up supplies. The sun was already setting so we were running a bit behind schedule. It wasn't my hour though, I was falling behind the others when one of the carry bags I was carrying split and I had to scoop up all the contents, luckily nothing was damaged, but now I had to stop again because of a rock stabbing into foot annoyingly. Ahead Uraraka disappeared out of sight as the path back to our dorm curved behind some trees. I placed the bags I was carrying down on the path beside me and pulled off my left shoe, gave it a shake, and the most sad excuse of a rock tumbled out. I sighed to myself, of course it was so small yet caused so much discomfort. As I pulled my shoe back on I could here Uraraka's laugh not far away in response to someone else. I leaned down to pick up the carry bags when I heard something else, a rustle closer to me and looked up to see a girl, close to the same age as any of us, seventeen or close to it. Her hair was silver and long, past her shoulders, her clothes seemed casual but her eyes looked serious as she paused a few feet from where she had emerged from the trees and surveyed me. Something felt off so I left the bags where they were and stood up tall again, facing her. We were back on campus grounds and after living here for almost two years now with the other students, I knew she wasn't from here, or at least not from the hero courses. For all I knew she could be a student from another course or a new student, so despite the uncomfortable feeling she gave me I didn't want to act brash.

"You Izuku Midoriya?" Her tone was flat like she didn't care, the feeling of discomfort grew deeper. I swallowed. Just in case she wasn't a student I didn't want to give myself away so easily. But if they already knew my name...

"I'll take that as a yes" Dammit. I had paused too long. She didn't move closer but reached out one arm towards me, palm facing me, even though she was a good couple of meters away from me I tensed and felt the power building up inside me, ready for a fight. But she made no other moves. I brought my fists up to my chest, ready, but still she didn't do anything. Then before I could react she clenched her outstretched hand into a fist, keeping her grey eyes on me the whole time. With that movement my breathing stopped. I couldn't expand my chest to take in any air and more so than that when i tried to move I couldn't, my body, my breathing, even my eyes were frozen. I felt the panic building up inside me as my chest grew tighter from lack of air. I couldn't even make a noise. Whatever her quirk was I was suddenly helpless. My chest was burning and my vision was starting to fade, black dots flashing across my field of vision, slowly getting bigger till I couldn't see anything at all. My limbs tingled from lack of oxygen and it felt as though my legs would give way from under me but they couldn't not while she was holding me here. As I started to fall unconscious the last thing I could hear was heavier footsteps coming up from behind me.

Massiah

I timed it perfectly. Holding him there just long enough for him to fall unconscious and then I released my hold on him and he his legs buckled as he fell to the path. I didn't know their names, I didn't care enough to learn them but two bigger men ran up the path to where he lay and scooped him up and quickly headed back down the path the way they had come, leaving the U.A campus. I took a long look behind me before I followed them, taking in the large main building, surrounded by the smaller dorms all of which I could just see the tops of through the trees. The sky was turning salmon pink from the setting sun, but no wisps of clouds were in sight. I had watched the boy making his way home with his friends and was lucky enough that he had separated himself from his friends without my help, but it wouldn't be long before they discovered him missing. I did one final look around, noticing a security camera high up on a pole along the path. It was apparent that no one was watching at that moment otherwise alarms would have sounded, but no doubt they would look at them soon enough in search for the boy. Those stupid idiots before hadn't covered their faces. As for me, I didn't care. I had no reason to worry.

Uraraka

Iida was waiting for us outside our classes dorm entrance when we returned. He watched us come closer with arms folded and a serious look on his face.

"You're late!" he announced once we had reached the steps, "Yaoyorozu spent a lot of time planning this and you have the audacity to be late" he waved one of his arms up and down with robotic motion as he scolded.

"Sorry Iida," I replied, smiling back at him and rubbing the back of my head with slight embarrassment, "we had to ask one of the staff to find something in the backroom for us as it was out on the shelves"

"Yeah, it wasn't our fault. We did our best and got everything she listed" replied Ashido with a rebellious tone which only caused Iida's brows the crease further.

"Well at least you got everything and about time too. We were running out of ideas to distract Tokoyami" Iida's hands found their way to his hips, "Where's Midoriya?" he added, gazing beyond us.

"He was right behind us" waved back Ashido and she walked past Iida and into the building. But I wasn't as unconcerned as her. Thinking back, he fell behind us no more than a few minutes ago, but he hadn't caught up to us even while we stood outside. I turned around to glance back down the path we had walked, but he wasn't there.
