Briefing Room, Deck 3 Section 1-A

"Alright people, we have our orders and our cover story; all we have to do is stick with it and everything will go smoothly." Captain Kole said as she looked over the C/O of the Defiant Class Attack Wings.
"Captain, I'm not exactly clear on our cover story, could you explain a bit further? Captain McScott of the Nebulon, and Wing Leader of the Defiant Alpha Wing, asked.
"Yes, of course. We're posing as Section 31 agents from this time period, the only Starfleet personnel from this time period that can know the truth are actual Section 31 personnel and operatives." Kole told McScott.
"Thank you Captain." McScott said
"Well then, if there are no further questions, this briefing is dismissed." Kole stated. The Wing Leaders slowly filed out of the briefing room.

Bridge, Deck 1 Section 1-A

"Starship Rachel Smith hailing Federation starbase Deep Space Nine, come in over." the communications officers requested again over the open communication circuit. "Still no response Captain."
Captain Payne looked at DS9 on the main viewer, they were cloaked and holding a distance of about 250 kilometers from the station. She sighed and said, "Ensign, try Starfleet standard docking codes; bring us up to the lower port docking arm."
"Aye Captain," she paused, "codes accepted, bringing us to bear." the ensign at the conn station answered.

"Lindsaye, may I speak to you in private?" the executive officer asked the captain.
"Of course number one, my ready room?" the captain suggested. To which the X/O nodded slightly.
They entered the Captain's ready room and the Captain said, "What's the problem Chris?"
"Captain, I feel a certain degree of caution should be taken in boarding the station." Chris answered. "You don't think I'm cautious enough?"
"No captain, I feel we should be at the very least holding yellow alert. Starfleet general order twelve part three, 'On the approach of any vessel or station, when communications have not been established...'"
"There's no need to quote regulations to me Commander." She said as she headed back to the bridge.
