Warning this is a pretty depressing fanfiction so you should get a box o tissues.
Why...
Kai walked to the cliff, a bright view of a field of petunias shaking gently, the horizon lined pink with colorful flowers. But he couldn't see the color. He could mentally only see black and white.
Why do I feel so empty?
He gently thumped a hand against his chest, the sound seeming to echo in the hollow cavern of where his heart was, yet he felt like there was nothing there at all.
He settled down on the edge of the cliff, not bothering to brush away the messy ungroomed locks of hair covering his view.
He stared into the sky, dark gloomy clouds hovering in a vibrant blue sky, shadowing over the flowers and covering the sun.
A fist slammed on the ground and Kai grit his teeth, his eyebrows furrowing.
Why?!
He had no answer, nobody to answer the one and only question that hung in his mind and bore him down like a heavy weight. He desperately searched through his cloudy mind, but all he found were blurred blue blobs.
Yet he still felt like he lost something very dear to him.
A droplet plopped down on his nose. Kai stared at the bead of water, watching it as if it was the one who held the answers. It sat on his bridge, unwavering, as another droplet landed on top of it, squashing down and replacing the first one. Another one. The cycle kept on going as it started to rain, making him soaking wet, his wet hair disfiguring out of its normal shape and almost completely covering his view.
If I can't get the answer here..
Kai stood up, not even bothering to grunt, to at least show any signs of life. His muscles weakened due to not being supported by strength, and he dropped back on his knees, mud splattering on his clothes as his body started falling, his head starting to fall towards the jagged rocks below.
I'll see what God has to offer.
Blood splattered on the petunias, their happy and gentle shade of pink overlapped by a splash of bright crimson and washing away, joining the growing pool of blood.
In the sky was a glowing, ghastly figure, watching, his sapphire hues widening under azure locks as blood waterfalled from the pierced corpse, tears dropping into the puddle of dirtied blood as he floated down and lifted Kai off the rocks, hugging his bloodied chest and sobbing into his dirtied clothes.
"I'm sorry." He whispered. "I'm so sorry."
